I was a little curious, I see you don't get perishing potions from the 5-2-0 alchemist, doesn't this power up the brews to make them even better? Or does it not work with perma brew?
Post more level 20 adora chimps videos. When you do adora those are the best vids imo because you actually know how to use her and educate the masses with blood sacrifice etc. Maybe ameven show adora buffing the sun avatar on hard maps
Super Brittle, Glue Storm, and Cripple Moab are super important for towers like Grandmaster Ninja and Avatar of Wrath. With them, the Grandmaster can outperform the Master Bomber
That’s for boss Bloons not late chimps. All thos buff attack with like +30 total when grandmaster bomber does 250 damage and it didn’t really damage bads. There for buying thos would be a waist but he should have got grandsabo because that does a % of damage so the higher the rounds the better it is like sjb said.
I highly doubt the grand Master ninja would leap frog over Master bomber especially since it got over twice as many pops and would also benefit from the debuffs against bloons. Maybe not as much as grandmaster but Bomber would still be in 1st. And if the Avatar was where the grandmaster ninja was it would have over 100 mil pops even without extra debuffs.
I was wondering the whole time why he wouldn't just buy the upgrade, since there's so many ninjas surrounding it including the master bomber and grandmaster ninja the 0.85x attack cooldown would've helped so much even with just the 3rd tier ninja damage.
In my experience, 2-5-0 Druid wrecks DDTs once they get some form of camo detection, and will also be providing some constant damage for those BADs making it far down the track. Just try and place it close to the smaller rings in the track for the vines to be most effective
Hey SJB, love the content! great attempt on this run! Just want to point out something I've heard you mention in previous videos; Bigger Radius for village only impacts the village itself. Nearby monkeys' range is increased by base village :)
*Chris,* *you never bought Jungle Drums for your ninjas!!!* Edit: Everyone in the comments is saying that there's no sound in the video, but there is; not sure what's going on with youtube
I would say that if you want some cheap but extremely useful upgrades would be an Embrittlement/Super Brittle Ice, Grand Saboteur, Overclock, and Jungle Drums for the Ninjas.
2 suggestions for improving: 1) Turn 1-2 of those shinobi into a sabo to slow the ddts 2) Towers with a lot of projectiles benefit from debuffs such as the middle path glue or top path ice as it applies for each projectile
Nice run! If you wanna get even further, I recommend a support temple for a bigger discount on towers. Support temples are also bugged to give cash in chimps mode iirc. Also, discount villages stack 3 times, not twice, so you could get them going as fast as possible but just place them in a corner. That way you can discount more and also use the important space better.
a 032 alch could also help. very cheap for the value you get from it. I made your setup in sandbox and ran 191 just for a pop count. 032 alch had about 320k. for reference avatar of wrath had about 450k. So for less than 10k, its a pretty strong pick up.
Get a 1-3-0 alchemist for the explosions in the moabs, or more around the mapa to make sure everything gets the effect on, 2-5-0 ninja because he helps a ton
This might sound insane, but... It might be time to switch it up and go for a support temple. It might seem impossible at first glance, but if you CAN manage to get it, your damage will skyrocket, and discount villages will look like a joke. You would have to completely switch it up, but if you can manage to get it, it's a guaranteed 200, hehe. (And yes, it IS possible!)
wouldn't overclock be a good boost? its only 11k and it will make them shoot so much faster, or even ultraboost and sacrifice something else because you have enough time to 10x ultra boost every good tower and more
I feel like he wouldnt be able to save enough for the ultraboost cause he'd prolly have to hol doff on getting either one of the ninja monkey 5th tiers or like permabrew to afford it
You could probably use cripple moab or super brittle those buff the druids and ninjas alot. Non bad Bloon moabs aren't a too massive problem making the single target cripple moab really effective.
I think rushing a max temple might be helpful for the discount on your towers, I did that for one of my runs (on challenge editor) and got up to round ~280
Believe it or not, on logs a 50k sac support temple can be gone for by r120. This can allow for a lot of extra money (partially cause it makes extra income in chimps for some reason and partially because of the discounts it gives). Without a temple I was able to make it to r204 chimps and if I were to try it again myself I'd try to push for 300 with an early temple in.
ISAB got max sun temple (not sun god temple) on logs in chimps. He got past round 200, but then had problems with save. I think, if you will try playing this strategy on logs, you might get further.
I showed this video to a friend of mine who started playing BTD very recently (cause of me). And he is like: "I don't know, it seems pretty weak to me.. I got to 210 and I have way less experience". Too bad he was talking about easy mode. LMAO. Great record Chris.
Chris, sorry to say this, but you are doing it a bit wrong. Lategame BAD damage comes from Super brittle (+4), Maim moab (+5), bunch of glue strikes (not storms, +2) and a lot of multiple damage sources, your ninjas are great for this. Sabo is also more useful than energizer. Thank you for the content!
Debuffs like embrittle mint, glue storm, ect. Also, you forgot jungle drus on the village, which is 15% more attack speed, grand sabo, fun fact it buff shinobi damage when active, and normal sabos to slow ddts later rounds
If they ever make a Druid paragon they game would break Also I would suggest, if you could get the money for it, a perma overcharge engineer to boost the druids. Energizer also gets buffed when you do the bottom path instead of middle
I think, even though it was your 3rd highest popper, skip out on the grandmaster and homeland, then go for ultra-boost. I think this because it gives a constant buff on all your important towers.
honestly I know its not much but couldnt have gone wrong with having a druid putting vines on the road, its not much but at least it would be constant damage the entire time they moving and close to where all your towers are to make the damage higher
I found a glitch not too long ago and I think it should work on the current patch; a Bloon trap engineer makes money in chimps! And if you get him fast I had my engineer make 30k! In a chimps game so definitely try it
I usually place a sniper near the water for three subs do four buckeners two for the bottom tier. Tack shooters in the start of the map, use a hero that gives camo support or a buff to say explosives/fire towers if no hero for camo use mortar tower bot tier reveals camo. Then just build and upgrade til you complete the map where you can't place anything else on the map. Get 180 easily
Mistakes I noticed. No jungle drums to increase attack speed in the middle of the monkeys and engineer is also a great buff tower I've made it to round 227 cause I over locked a lot of my stuff to 10 stacks
I recently tried a Brittle Ice Chopper Gummer on Persuit. I think it made a difference, but would be more effective if Micro'd I just remembered Chopper Gunner is not on Chimps. Still it's an interesting tactic to look into
Just for the record. My high round chimps in this method, meaning no temple use, has been 227, with the basic strategy being: Druids, permabrew ultraboost, ninjas, homeland, plasma fan club
you should try to go for a bloon master alchemist set to strong. On late game runs that I've done on easier game modes it can outperform a vengeful temple.
I wonder if you should have tried using a top path buccaneer and end up moving one of the druids there, in the bottom section of the pool on this map. It would buff them, along with any heli's or aces you place. At least it's what I regularly do
Also, what about ultraboosting the grandmaster, master bomber, alchemist, avatar, superstorm, etc? Wouldn't that have made each tower leagues more effective against the BADs dps wise? Oh, and does sabatoge supply lines affect the speed of the BADs? If so, that's essential too.
Full sound till Last second. Ninja Sabo ist absolutely better than energyiser (but pls crossparh the energyiser to 502, much stronger, bc you had the Homeland and with that camo detection)
Glow storm cheap extra damage to all, balloon incineration de fortify, Cripple Moab, ice storm, so many debuff and buffing you missed. If you could get a ultra boosted master bomber and 502 ninja you’d break 200
Hi Chris, specifcally on this map. I notice you put a lot of stuff in the right upper corner. Can you please fold the umbrella's so we have a better view of what is actually there and "doing stuff" there? Thanks a bundle.
I'm not understanding the ones saying to go support temple the amount of money you spend to get $15,001-$25,000 +5 range to base Temple 20% discount to all base cost and upgrades of all towers in range +1 damage, 10% attack speed bonus, +3 pierce, +20% range for all towers in range were as the 2 villages were alot cheaper and get 10% discount on all Monkeys and upgrades tier 3 or less purchased in the radius of the Village. An additional 5% discount that can stack with up to 2 other Villages with this upgrade. Influence radius of the Monkey Village increases by +8, for a total of +20% when given to a base Village. and had he gotten the jungle drums All towers in the radius of the Village attack +18% faster. Is the +1 damage and +3 pierce really worth the extra $146,441? I know you get the added beneffit of having the temple. However he used the village for the discount in the earlyish part of the game still within the 100 rounds. With the discounts he got from just those 2 villages because of support chinook moving things after being upgraded he was able to afford alot more. I don't know seems like more money than its worth. and building it later you might as well spend the full 50,000 on the support tower to get +5 range to base Temple 20% discount to all base cost and upgrades of all towers in range +2 damage, 20% attack speed bonus, +3 pierce, +20% range for all towers. and even then you have to build all of the out of range of all your other towers then move it into place with the chinook. Again correct me if I'm wrong but the money just doesn't add up.
You've found the key to popping the bads at a good spot, so what's wrong with just putting a spike factory for the rogue DDTs that sneak through? Sure it wouldnt contribute to the rest of the pops, but all that's been ending ur runs, is the lack of any popping whatsoever when something sneaks through the initial defense, and it's only ever a DDT, so why noy just throw a Spike Factory with it's own glue gunner/ice monkey to pop the moab layer and bloons inside, so they cant hide? Or a pirate to snag them when bads pop
Chris! I don't know why you don't use the bottom path alchemist. Obviously you aren't earning any money from it, but it's 5th tier form can convert any balloon into a red except for BADs
While this strategy can certainly get you to 200, I think you are much better off reworking things. As ridiculous as it sounds, getting a 420 super monkey, with the right sacrifices is going to be your best bet. The trick is to get it as early as possible. Having a max support sacrifice will be ridiculously valuable, and will let you save so much money in the long term.
question irrelevant to chimps: theoretically, if a superstorm stalls ZOMGs, can you increase the amount of times you can activate money-generating abilities?
This is lategame chimps. The health and speed ramping of bloons starts to get insane real fast. You want towers that deal percentage based damage, or towers that are incredibly good when buffed. A flat 14k damage tower that isnt good with buffs unfortunately is a bad option
