Hello,
I was Unable to ping from Base Machine to Virtual Machine(Windows 10 & Windows 8.1) by using loopback adapter..
Getting Errors:
Request Time out on Windows 10 VM
&
TTL expired in transit on Windows 8.1 VM
But I was able to ping From Virtual Machine to Base Machine with same configuration.
Note: Firewall is Off on Base and VM also.

but reverse is possible why..?

check that your loopback works will and it take a valid ip address from the network
