A year ago, I sold my A-M 2020 Vantage for a 2021 GT4. The A-M was a great street car, not so good at autocross or track events. BUT. In my 22 months of ownership, it spent 47 days out of service at the dealership with warranty issues. (4 different check engine lights and an airbag light.) Every trip to the dealership involved a stay there of multiple days. In addition, it was out of commission for almost 3 months while I waited for rear brake pads. I was told my dealership didn't have any, A-M in the USA didn't have any, even A-M in Great Britain didn't have any! My Vantage was the prettiest car I've ever owned, and it got lots of attention and compliments. At least, it did when it was running, and that was the problem. By comparison, the GT4 was much better for driving events, but virtually invisible on the street. Yes, myPorsche Club friends recognized it, but to the world at large it was just another nondescript Porsche. I had the GT4 for a year and drove the heck out of it. A month ago, I traded it in on a 911 Turbo S. I think this will be the keeper of the bunch. It handles well and goes like stink!
Interesting to hear and a real shame to hear about the frequent issues with the AM. What colour is your gt4? My GT silver car certainly goes under the radar too
Sorry to hear that. I actually sold my Porsche GTS for a 2019 Vantage. Knock on wood my Vantage has been rock solid. My warranty expires on the 31st...now you have me think. I'll probably keep it 1 more year.
I’m surprised mate, as I really enjoyed that video and I didn’t think I would. Also nice change from the usual content. Well done as always, with the edit!👏🏽
Difficult to think if any Porsche gt 4 owners would trade or buy an Aston vantage. Both cars will leave a different joyful feeling driving experience. But Aston Martin is so elegant in my opinion is the eye catcher to me.
Nice video...As a current Vantage owner, I love the car. My previous car was a Porsche but the Aston gets more attention from people. Just today while I was having a glass of wine. Two guys were staring at my car for over 15 minutes in the parking lot...My Porsche definitely handles better but the Vantage offers a different experience.
I enjoyed this video? Watched quite a few AM Vantage V8's reviews now. Interesting what you say about fuel economy - put a lot a potential buyers off, to be sure, esp. when comparing to Porsche?!
Great video! Just out of curiosity…what cars would you trade your GT4 for? Or plainly what other cars do you currently aspire to have in the future? I’m currently debating between 992 911 4S and the 2024 GT63, but wondering what others good cars are competitors to these too. Cheers
GT3/rs or gt4rs is what I personally would trade the gt4 in. Ferrari or lambo ownership is of course I’d love to exp. 992 gts or turbo s would be a great shout to own. AMG GTR I’d like to own too
Hello. New to the channel. GT4 every day. [But as you say the Vantage is aimed at long distance GT driving and therefore 911 would be the one to compare. And the 911 would be the best choice. That said there is something about the Vantage. [However god awful dash and IT is rubbish. Plus as soon as you buy depreciation is brick in river quick! Needs more development. The new DB12 is something else! Probably one of the best GT cars in recent years. Oh and the mpg figures of always below 28mpg.... no way! Add it simply is too wide and well its a case of 'no thanks' to the Vantage. Pity as so much potential. Thanks for the content.
It’s definitely very different to a GT4. As you both say in the vid, it’s a car for a different audience then a GT4 buyer. However, such a pretty car. Good for you to experience something different 👍

Black with gold wheels. It was pure 1980 John Player Special!

Thanks mate 👊🏼 look forward to your next loaner 😅
More Aston Martin content please! Great video mate! 🙏🏼
Haha I will try mate! See if I can get a loaner from the press team next time to properly review 🤞🏼

BoxEngine or nothing, call it brand loyalty but the Stuttgart’s prancing horse has a lot of motorsports pedigree.
Great video mate!
You definitely need to sort out the wind noise though 😫
I know mate, it was bad 🥹
Don’t tell anyone, but this was filmed a few months ago 😅.
I’ve got a proper iPhone mic now with a wind barrier 🙌🏼
I enjoyed this video?

Great video Will, most people could only dream of such a vehicle.
It’s a beautiful car
Thanks dad x
Lovely car, and as you comment not track focused and more of a gt tourer.
Sounds like you need both! 🎉
If only 🥹

Isn't an e63s amg 9/10ths of the gt63 for a fraction of the cost?

Will have to try and experience the V12 someday. Another stunning engine

Stunning colour and I can’t decide if I’d go coupe or soft top. Because sitting in that with the roof down was lovely
Didnt Nor use to sell BMW bits? Sure i bought something years back
I love your GT4 .. But aston martin…..🤤🤤🤤🤤.. which Have better sound????
Flat 6 vs V8 - both great sounds 🤌🏼
😅😊😊😊
