Trying to Keep up with Travis Rice at Jackson Hole after his Corbet's Run

- Watching Travis Rice hit his first run at King and Queens of Corbet's Couloir 2019 at Jackson Hole, then got to bomb down with him and chop it up.
I don’t understand all the hate? These dudes literally spend months on end every year making video parts so people can watch them ride. I feel like If I was Travis I’d completely understand a fan wanting to experience that in person. This dude didn’t do anything to interfere with Travis’s riding. He said what up when Travis took a break, told him he was following and filming and Travis was stoked on it.

Based upon that approx. 30 second convo (starting at 2:18), I believe Travis had no problem whatsoever with this guy tagging along behind. And honestly, I think he enjoyed the attention/recognition. In fact, what person does not like to be recognized for a skill that they are particularly good at?!
Also, if Travis did not like it, I have a feeling that he could have ditched the boarder/cammer in a matter of seconds!
Heck, I give mad respect to both of these guys!!! Travis, for going a bit slower than he probably usually does when doing a run like this.....and for the cammer, at keeping up with Travis. Even the cammer is head & shoulders above what my skill level is on a board!
from what i've seen here and elsewhere, travis rice seems like a pretty chill dude

There is a feeling one gets when riding snow it’s hard to explain but Travis knows it and he’s a legend. I’ll always ride his boards he’s an inspiration to me.

I love watching pros of any avenue do little things like that, like a tennis pro catching a ball with their racquet strings, it just shows how much they do their sport or activity to get that comfy even the little things come off smooth.
Crazy thing is, he was just toying around. So much skill and such a good dude. Def a good hero to have.

For sure, that was one of the best days on the mountain ever. Watched t.rice stomp the yard, then went and hiked crags twice and dropped Dayton bowl, then went back to the event and followed the goat champ down to tram and shoot the shit for a bit. Total epic day

I've taken this exact line like 50 times this season lol!
It's an awesome line on a fresh coat. Re ran it about 10 times in feb just to relive that day. So stoked that trip. was bummed t rice wasn't at king and queens this year but I'm betting he will be next season and I'll be there too!! Happy shredding again when we can. Was sure looking forward to some may squaw turns but iono now

People need to chill, Travis clearly wasn’t worried or creeped out by this at all. It’s not like he was following him inside lol. And for people saying “he rushed to take his bindings off”.. all snowboarders do that at the end of runs, plus he’s literally famous so maybe Travis is just used to being hasty.

It was only a few mins down, unfortunately it was such a shaky video I took out a lot of the choppy dead zones, now I have a gopro 7 so next video will be crisp!!! Cant wait

@@komakie he's on a brand new finely tuned best waxed gold member too which doesn't hurt. My never summer was so beat up that day it couldn't keep up with a garbage truck on trash day. Got 4 orcas and 2 golden orcas now, will never ride anything else

@@komakie when we were talking halfway down he told me to get an orca (me and trav chopped it up for a few mins but i cut that part out). That was the first year of the all blue one which was sold out at that point. The next season I picked up a 2020 orca and a special limited edition evil orca. Once I put my feet on that first orca I was hooked. I like chowd boards since I have a 13 boot I liked the 267 width on the 153 cm orca. I'm 6' 2" and 200lbs and the 153 is rippers for me. No skiers can keep up except at Jackson hole. Been cruising this years golden orca and am even more impressed with that model. Rides switch effortlessly. Got next year's golden orca on that early drop so I'm gonna demo I Monday and Tuesday next week coming up in a few days and I'll make a vid smashing heavenly on it. I eat skiers for breakfast on any board, but I eat boarders for breakfast too on the golden
Eh, cool got to met your hero, but when you stopped, kinda sounded a bit awkward. I would of asked if it be cool to ride the rest of the run with him and show you some side hits or something you could get some footage of. He'd probably would of slown down for you. It's one thing to meet a pro snowboarder, but its another when they are willing to do something with a fan.
It was all stokes that day bro. We chopped it up for a few mins actually but I cut the personal shit out. I had just met him before that in October so it was dope to smash on the home turf. He signed a dope claudograph with mountains and at the bottom it said "see you in the forest" so that was the premise for this overly excited video. Plus the guy just stomped the best run at the king and Queens so it was all time level
