My girlfriend is 5'6 and i'm 5'9, she told me that i'm noticeably taller from her perspective. She goes to church, doesn't cuss, and doesn't go to partys. We are not from the US, I used to live in the US and from what i've seen its part of the culture to judge people based on their looks, for example since middle school kids get put into groups like the nerds, popular kids, weird kids etc. Where we live its not like that, you are you and you are unique.

Any woman 5'6 (let alone 5'3) or shorter calling you short is a hypocrite. For reference, being 5' three inches tall as a woman is equivalent to being 5' eight inches tall as a man. I think a big problem with people lowballing someone's height also comes down to their own warped perception of it. Being a full head taller than someone is not being 5" taller than them. That is more likely being 7" - 9"(maybe 10 in extreme cases) taller than them. A problem that isn't helping people's case are guys lying about their height. Two generic examples that come to mind are 5'7 guys claiming 5'9, and 5'10 guys claiming 6'0 which could cause some shorter girls to lowball. People listing their waking height when being asked are doing this but on a 2 times smaller scale (minimum height).

I think what actually matters is how formidable / tough a man looks. In terms of basically every other mammal, the male that wins fights against all his challengers gets all the females. Height is good predictor of how well a man will do in a fight (which is why it is desirable / attractive). If all else is equal, we expect the larger / taller man to win the fight, to be a better protector... But things like shoulder width are also a good predictor of how well a man will do in a fight, and it turns out that women are also attracted to men with wider shoulders. Mike Tyson probably wasn't getting rejected for being under 6' (he was 5'10). Even if you didn't know he was an elite fighter, you can look at him and know it probably isn't a good idea to get into a fight with him. Women can sense this too. They will have a subconscious believe that they will be safe if Mike was their man. Basically, looking scary to an extent seems to be attractive to women. Not scary in a creepy way, but scary in the sense that others know just by looking at you that getting into a fight with you isn't a good idea.

She replies "I don't know but around 5'11" then a few days latter I meet her brother and he was around 6'1, so that girl probably thought that I was 5'10 or 5'9

I’m 5’ 3’’. I struggled in the dating scene for so many years but not in the party scene. When you’re a cool and fun guy to hang with, people seem to not care too much about your height. My body count is a two digit so I’m not missing out on much. What helped me a lot is having a clean ride, nice outfit, fit body, and lots of friends. If you’re an all around cool guy to hang with then you’ll definitely score a date with about 10-20 of girls interaction. It’ll take you more tries being a shorter guy but that’s the reality. I like to slowly get to know a girl and not go straight into asking her out. My approach is a more secure approach vs others just go straight cold approach. I tend to have less girls than my friends but when I shoot my shot I tend to have more confidence and better accuracy.

I'm 5'11. I was a lot shorter in high school and got roasted a lot for it because the average guy in my class was 5'10. I had a growth spurt after graduation and people treat me differently now. I'm not tall but I'm not short enough for it to stand out like before. Note: I measured my height for the first time in about a year and I'm actually 5'11 (181 cm) now so I edited it from 5'10.

Reminds me of this study implying if you were below average, every inch you gained toward being average has a huge impact. But once you exceed average, you have diminishing returns. And I believe the study said it’s because women instinctively are seeking mates that are taller than most people that we encounter rather than just taller than them. So if you were in a room where the men are 6 foot then once again, increasing over that 6 foot now has an impact again. This video seems to match this description
If you are on the average to short average range (5’10-5’7), work on factors like being fit, having nice skin, etc. and you can definitely rival a guy a few inches taller than you. Like a nice looking fit 5’8 guy can definitely rival a decent average looking 5’10-5’11 guy.

I'm about your height and lost count at around 100 women. Only had two girlfriends shorter than me because they don't really care about that if they think you're attractive. They usually prefer men slightly taller but height is the last thing they worry about usually. You always get some punk who gives you that look almost like a smile thinking he wants to test you but I know from years of experience those guys haven't ever fought anyone. Experienced fighters learn not take BS like that for granted. Being short makes it easy for me to put on muscle and speed and since I always loved sports combat it just worked out. i remember being out and a girl in docs unprompted told me not to worry, she was shorter than me without shoes lol. don’t worry if you’re at least 5’8. you really only run into issues at 5’6 or less. and if you’re 5’11+ you can get away with a lot

good post bro. your post reminded me of a thought I had. The pro of being a short man is that the women you do tend to deal with will have more of a genuine aspect about them, because if they like you, theres a higher chance that its because of you are as a person. If you're a tall guy, yeah you have more options, but alot more of those options are way more superficial, so theres a higher chance that girl only really likes you cause you're tall. Plus, if you're a tall guy, theres more chances of you dealing with really crazy ass women, just because you're pool of women is larger.

People actually underestimate how tall 6 foot actually is, I’m 6’0 and a half but I usually round to 6’1. And many people think I’m 6’2 especially because I’m also an ectomorph.

I'm 5'7 and I've done cold approach for years before I stopped. You learn a lot after time. Height makes a woman naturally feel safe and intimidated at the same exact time. This also means at a primal level you have the ability to protect her. Regardless if you can fight or not, or of your masculinity. She doesn't know that, but her body feels all of this around tall men. It also intimidates other men who are aggressive and may want your girl, so this gives her relief as well. Your experience will never be the same as a taller man, because you can develop skills to change game, character, finances, fitness, but not your height. 5'4" here. But I get to the gym 5x/week and keep in great shape. My ex wife was 5'4" as well..height was never an issue, my closest ex gf was 5 even, which felt awesome on my end. Tallest I dated steady was 5'6" and she was fine with it, I just was uncomfortable. My advise to shorter guys, date gals you're height or shorter. Then show you're masculine and especially confident, in a respectful way. You can't change you're height but you can change you're personality, charisma, and confidence. Ignore what you can't change, and improve on what you can. And why would you ever want someone that does not fully accept who you are?

Man, I wanted to be 5’11” or taller, but also not because of women. I’m 5’9” and could only dunk the basketball 3-4 times in my life when I was in my 20’s (late 30’s now), and I can currently barely grab the rim but dunking is likely out of my reach again. Lol, mainly it’s for basketball reasons because I still play pick up on a regular basis and with at least 2 more inches I would still be able to dunk, but I also have a 6’1” wingspan.

I'm 5'5. It only matters on dating apps or online dating, which is due to how a woman's perception of a man is and/or their own insecurities. Once you can maximize what you can do in your own body while making a woman feel secure and comfortable, all that height stuff goes out the window. Sure, there is a demographic who has a preference, equivalent to women who are "size queens" in the bedroom. As a shorter guy, people look down on you, making maintaining a masculine frame and knowing yourself to the point of self-confidence a bit of a challenge if you are new to the dating environment. In my experience, someone will like you regardless of your shortcomings, especially if you are a quality mate.

This is what i've come to experience as well (i'm 5'4 btw). Girls are more emotional then physical at the end of the day. They'll have a whole laundry list of logical requirements but when they meet someone who makes them feel safe and happy those requirements will go out the window anyways. For guys, regardless of how you look, its mainly about being confident enough to overcome her frame of requirements and shit tests. If you are solid in your belief in yourself and confident enough to display it then most girls will fall into your frame and will then become the type of girl who's like "I used to think height mattered but now I'm with x guy and now I don't care". I think a big problem with people lowballing someone's height also comes down to their own warped perception of it. Being a full head taller than someone is not being 5" taller than them. That is more likely being 7" - 9"(maybe 10 in extreme cases) taller than them. A problem that isn't helping people's case are guys lying about their height. Two generic examples that come to mind are 5'7 guys claiming 5'9, and 5'10 guys claiming 6'0 which could cause some shorter girls to lowball. People listing their waking height when being asked are doing this but on a 2 times smaller scale (minimum height).

I think what actually matters is how formidable / tough a man looks. In terms of basically every other mammal, the male that wins fights against all his challengers gets all the females. Height is good predictor of how well a man will do in a fight (which is why it is desirable / attractive). If all else is equal, we expect the larger / taller man to win the fight, to be a better protector... But things like shoulder width are also a good predictor of how well a man will do in a fight, and it turns out that women are also attracted to men with wider shoulders. Mike Tyson probably wasn't getting rejected for being under 6' (he was 5'10). Even if you didn't know he was an elite fighter, you can look at him and know it probably isn't a good idea to get into a fight with him. Women can sense this too. They will have a subconscious believe that they will be safe if Mike was their man.
Basically, looking scary to an extent seems to be attractive to women. Not scary in a creepy way, but scary in the sense that others know just by looking at you that getting into a fight with you isn't a good idea.

I’m 5’ 3’’. I struggled in the dating scene for so many years but not in the party scene. When you’re a cool and fun guy to hang with, people seem to not care too much about your height. My body count is a two digit so I’m not missing out on much. What helped me a lot is having a clean ride, nice outfit, fit body, and lots of friends. If you’re an all around cool guy to hang with then you’ll definitely score a date with about 10-20 of girls interaction. It’ll take you more tries being a shorter guy but that’s the reality. I like to slowly get to know a girl and not go straight into asking her out. My approach is a more secure approach vs others just go straight cold approach. I tend to have less girls than my friends but when I shoot my shot I tend to have more confidence and better accuracy.

Reminds me of this study implying if you were below average, every inch you gained toward being average has a huge impact. But once you exceed average, you have diminishing returns. And I believe the study said it’s because women instinctively are seeking mates that are taller than most people that we encounter rather than just taller than them. So if you were in a room where the men are 6 foot then once again, increasing over that 6 foot now has an impact again. This video seems to match this description
If you are on the average to short average range (5’10-5’7), work on factors like being fit, having nice skin, etc. and you can definitely rival a guy a few inches taller than you. Like a nice looking fit 5’8 guy can definitely rival a decent average looking 5’10-5’11 guy.

The pro of being a short man is that the women you do tend to deal with will have more of a genuine aspect about them, because if they like you, theres a higher chance that its because of you are as a person. My ex wife was 5'4" as well..height was never an issue, my closest ex gf was 5 even, which felt awesome on my end. Tallest I dated steady was 5'6" and she was fine with it, I just was uncomfortable.

Man, I wanted to be 5’11” or taller, but also not because of women. I’m 5’9” and could only dunk the basketball 3-4 times in my life when I was in my 20’s (late 30’s now), and I can currently barely grab the rim but dunking is likely out of my reach again. Lol, mainly it’s for basketball reasons because I still play pick up on a regular basis and with at least 2 more inches I would still be able to dunk, but I also have a 6’1” wingspan.

Once you can maximize what you can do in your own body while making a woman feel secure and comfortable, all that height stuff goes out the window. Fellas: Even if a girl claims to have a height requirement, she will override it for a guy who knows how to connect with her (even if he's the same height as her or slightly shorter). There's plenty of options for short kings.
This is what i've come to experience as well (i'm 5'4 btw). Girls are more emotional then physical at the end of the day. They'll have a whole laundry list of logical requirements but when they meet someone who makes them feel safe and happy those requirements will go out the window anyways. For guys, regardless of how you look, its mainly about being confident enough to overcome her frame of requirements and shit tests. If you are solid in your belief in yourself and confident enough to display it then most girls will fall into your frame and will then become the type of girl who's like "I used to think height mattered but now I'm with x guy and now I don't care". Most short guys are too weak minded to overcome most girls frames though so they end up thinking they'll never get a girl. TLDR - Stop giving AF about what girls think and just go for what you want.

I'm 6'1 barefoot and 6'2 with shoes on, with that being said, I'm still one of the most single persons ever. My mother is 5'8 and her husband is 5'7, meanwhile my father is anywhere between 5'11 and 6'0 and he's on the shorter side of males in his family. My father's younger brother, my uncle, is tall to the point where his shoulder reaches my ears, so he'd be around 6'4 - 6'5, I'm jealous of him ngl.

There are two types of girls. Tall girls who care about height and Tall girls who don't care about height. I have been in relationships with 3 girls that are taller than me. I am 168cm and 1 girl was 180cm and the other 2 were 176cm. They cared more about how I carried myself. This Sunday I am going on a date with a girl who is 175cm, she knows my height already and she cares more about the energy that I have.
