Hey Shane. I really like this guitar riff. Just good solid music. And not a bad scream either.!

I have this album and the follow-up that came out a million years later (When God Turned Away). This first album was basically the 90’s Dio band with Mandy singing. Mandy Lion also had a band with Jake E. Lee in the mid-90’s for about five minutes.

Hey Shane you should look up the Band Call Champion - Featuring Alex Machin - I'd Lie To You For Your Love (And That's The Truth) 1984. They are from Canadian, Alex Machin is a 80s AOR Classic Rock Band. You should react to it and like it too.💯

Formed by Mandy Lion and Peter Paterno (Head of Hollywood Records (Who signed the band to the label)
Not really sure as to what all transpired but from what I can remember they imploded, mostly because of Mandy. Really think it was once again the victim of Grunge. As this album came out in 1990.
Other than having Vinnie and a future member of Dio Tracy G for claims to fame, they just didn't get going like they should have. There is a second album that came out in 2002 called When God Turned Away. I haven't heard anything off of it.

Hi Shane, David W here. Thanks for reviewing the WWIII Video for me. The group was made up of 3 ex-Dio members (Tracy G - guitars; Jimmy Bain - bass; and Vinnie Appice - Drums). The singer was Mandy Lion. Tracy G was in the group Swift Kick prior and that was one of the reviews you have done before as well. Tracy went on to join Dio with Vinnie and was on the Dio - Strange Highways and Angry Machines albums. Mandy Lion sang on a few songs for George Lynch's solo album Sacred Groove. WWIII only released 1 album officially (Self Titled) but there have been some tracks released for what would have been their follow-up album. They have one other video called Time for Terror. The whole album is great and I would highly suggest listening to the whole thing.

@David W - I had that George Lynch Sacred Groove CD and clearly remember some weird spoken word type intro on this one song (just the one I believe?)that showed Mandy Lion on vocals. I swear I thought it was a girl talking/singing ! a VERY butch sounding girl I that I pictured looking CRAZY and probably able to KILL me ! Boy was I mistaken - this guy sounds great here with WWIII.
Crazier thing is - I wanted this WWIII CD when I first heard it back whenever it came out (late 80's early 90's ?)

I have a vague recollection of the band and the song sounded familiar but I sure as HELL do not remember this video at all....must have been on MTV's pay-per-view channel! 😸 Maybe WWW stood for Wild Wild Women...?????

I Like Tracy G’s playing. I would be very distracted trying to play with all that going on around me. Couldn’t find it on Spotify but my God the song title has been used by everyone.

This is basically Dio with the legendary Mandy Lion. You should try the banger A Time for Terror. Also, there’s a Jake E Lee connection: try The Rust by Wicked Alliance (a one off)…

What say me? Good but not great Shane, I am not a huge fan of this band.
This kind of music was OK before Venom came and changed the metal world. So it’s not WWIII, maybe WW1 and a half.
I like cool jazz, but with blast beat.
Don’t want it, don’t need it, never gonna listen to that ever again 🙉.
