🔴🔴If you are someone needing extra help on what buttons to place, here are my switch settings below:🔴🔴 for my switch its automatically on the ZL button, but you can change this in the controller config to a different button if needed. You must go into decorating mode first which is pressing the right analog stick. than you will hover on the item with the bowl, and once the bowl is green you will press ZL and A together and you can drag it. Its best to also hit ZR (right analog stick) to turn off the grid for an exact placement and get a desired angle better, I usually will decorate with the grid off but you can do it with the grid on too, its just a personal preference. If this isnt working for you, it may be a controller issue or a button is damaged, even if you can still click/use the button, sometimes there can be damage you arent aware of that doesnt affect your gameplay enough to notice. However, This setting has worked fine for me and the buttons above, You could always try a different keybind too if needed. I also just wanted to clarify again for the bowl on your switch you MUST multi-select the bowl, and not grab the dresser. This will grab the entire item lot as a whole by the bowl. You must grab the item by the bowl because it will allow you slide the items into each other since the game thinks the bowl is being moved and not the table. Make sure to Check your controller settings on the game settings to double check your switch has a button selected for multi-select to do these glitches. apologies when I made this video it was really late and I meant to show a screenshot of the selection on switch but it slipped my mind. I also realized now in my video audio I was saying "grabbing the bowl" because I am used to doing this and forgot to use the word "multi-select" for more clarification lol hopefully this clears up any confusion! so in the other videos I have done with the same method, where I "grab" the bowl only, that is me using multi select as well. its the same method! I was able to do these on my switch just fine, which inspired me to do this video, so I can confirm it does work if you do the proper setup! Happy decorating :)
I can confirm this does work when you do the controller config for those saying it isn't switch friendly or doesn't work. I just did it fine on my switch.

Switch here too, I just tried it and you're both right. You can't group select with the bowl. I did however, have success glitching the counters together using a builder's pillar. Place the pillar on top of the counter, group select from the pillar and then you can merge the counters together making them look continuous!!! I am so excited I figured this out!! I think it is necessary to edit the settings.. But I have no idea how it could even function when the settings are changed.. We at nintendo can only dream of such beautiful ideas 😢🙈
toggle the grid off, and you can move them as close as you need them to be but it also is the bowl placement matters too. I have a book tutorial video I learned the book trick from also linked in the description and more placement ideas too are in that video!
2:31 I cannot get this to work for me, I’ve tried over and over. I know I have to be doing something wrong. I assigned my multi-select to “y” on my switch controller, I’m multi-selecting the bowl, not the dresser, it just won’t work. 🥺😭

@@ff.rr.ee.ss.hhhhhh sadly i couldnt get it to work with the dressers or the bookshelf on stream we did for the new patch with the new items. Its like theres a wall coded into the item that makes them unable to glitch far into each other . but we got the small half end tables to work. Its just those 2 specific items wont do it. As for any user error, I would suggest mapping to a different button though if it isnt working and make sure you are entering correctly into the multi select with the directions I wrote out in my pinned comment, if it continues to give you trouble.

chests dont work , certain items do not stack or glitch into each other sadly if you want a stacked effect, you will need to place an industrial shelf first on the wall and place the first item onto it, then use the bowl to move the first item into place, and then the remaining items.
On the first hack, ma’am, when trying to move both bowl and dresser I only end up moving the bowl alone or I move the dresser without being able to clip. New player, on PC
check my pinned comment for switch directions if needed as this video was made primarily for them. But if youre on PC its ALT on the keyboard and grab the bowl with your mouse, it must be highlighted green around the bowl to alt grab it as you can see in my footage.
sadly it doesn't work for me. I tried it today after watching your video and managed to successfully lift both bowl and dresser together. But i think they have repair this glitch and each time i try to bring them together, it keeps saying something is in the way
Hey there! this is definitely some user error because it still works on the switch and on pc, and we just did it the other day on stream! you need to make sure you are multi selecting both items together, and have the option turned on on your switch settings. check the pinned comment for more info on the exact buttons, you may also have a button that's defective without realizing it too!

yep! we use it all the time, lots of my videos use it and my streams, my video was recorded on pc! you will hit ALT on your keyboard, for multi select, and then place with your mouse (left click)
this method with bowl isn't working for me and I can't make lying books :< i figured out how to make the witchy corner nook using different method, but still, bowl is not working for me ^^'

The switch requires that extra setting but it does work I was able to do it on my switch and my friend did the glitch fine too. An Extra book tutorial is linked in the description if needed but the books are placed on the bowl to achieve them sideways as shown.

Strangely I just made the change in settings but after backing out it does not give me the group select option. Any ideas?

How do I pick up a bowl to pick up the dresser on switch it just picks up the bowl not the entire dresser to ..?
I have that issue too. There's no way to pick up the whole thing by picking up the last item placed.

Hi, I would like to put a Birdbath inside my house. How to glitch it? It’s an outdoor deco and can’t be put inside house.

Ok I know you can move item's from left to right by using Q & E but how in the hell did you get the shelf to rotate up and down????
For wall mounted objects, q and e rotate up and down instead of left to right since they automatically attach to the wall :)
how do u rotate the floor sideways?
