Sure let’s just put a defective seatbelt back in the car after cutting it up. When your face meets the steering wheel you can think of this video. Seatbelt made to save lives. Obviously this shop sells damaged vehicles back in service. Would be better to get a working seatbelt instead. That be a lawsuit here in the States.
Always wondered how to get my flat-tip into a tight spot, hit it with a 1/2" extension! Seriously?? Are you really modifying the seat belt retractor AND LOCKING MECHANISM?!! You know - the mechanism that keeps your face off the steering wheel!
"Fix" your seatbelt: 1. Take it out of the car. 2. Cut out all those annoying safety components. 3. Put it back in! This is why RUclips NEEDS A DISLIKE BUTTON!
I applied OTC Pharma grade mineral oil to the ratchet on my 2001 Silverado SWB ~ I learned to use mineral oil in place of common sprays for reasons of geriatric health - my issue is prompt extension to latch so as to achieve latching so that I can drive • it appears from what i see on the video that them anchor is lower than what I thought • goal is to get it service-able without destroying cosmetic covers which I can tape with gaffer tape - 320-k miles lifetime shade tree ○ brief testing shows a ratchet on the pulley may be the problem; Advise if I should look for the actual anchor please;
If you're going to put up a "how to" video, providing a little commentary would be much more helpful than just whipping through the process and not explaining anything.
Los C Replace completely have the same issue with my 12 Silverado just wanted get a quick fix but it’s not safe just if you’re in a hurry to drive your vehicle do it but long term get the replace. Best place just go to your dealership and they’ll have them.
Los C You could of done it by yourself honestly it’s just about 3 screws and removing/attaching the sensor I just bought my 2 seatbelts both for about $330
Awesome video! I'll be having to do this soon. The replacement on the 2011 silverado is nearly $200 and all "used" ones are locked due to accidents. Need a quick fix like this since I can't afford a new one and local police are giving huge fines for not being bucked up.
Easy but unethical big time, how would you install this again and sale the vehicle or release it to the customer ,, the seat belt is useless after this , no worth it , you can get a good one for 200bucks and have piece of mind , so dont follow this video , misleading
No, it will not restrain you, and in the event of a crash you will eat the deploying airbag as if you are at a chinese buffett on fresh shrimp day! The air bag will not only blacken both eyes, it will break and bloody your nose and possibly scratch your eyes out. The pretensioner "locks: the seatbelt so this trauma does not happen. This guy is advocating convenience over safety. Spend the $68-100 to save your face.

Ahh makes sense to me Im sure SAE approves this method.
Good way to get people hurt. Might as well take the seatbelts out of the vehicle. The pre-tensioners are not there for looks.
So will it lock you in place as it should when you slam on the breaks or in a collision
So will this catch in time to keep you from hitting the asphalt once you're ejected through the windshield?
Whats the point of having a seatbelt when the all the safety mechanism is sawed off 🤷🏾♂️
What tool did you use to pop open to get inside? I'm trying to get rid of a cigarette smell and it's inside the seat belt compartment
*how did you remove the yellow sensor? I'm trying to do this on my 2011 chevy camaro*
I appreciate the video, but this is definitely something I won’t attempt myself.
Oh, that was easy!
If you have a grinder and all freaking day, then do it this way.
Or buy a new/uses one.

What size is that torx?
What are the panels you’re removing to get the seatbelt called? The one on the lower part and the one that covers the seatbelt.
Does this work on the 2018 Silverado?
Love the sandals with grinder, so tough why you need seatbelts bro!
Grinder without the guard, hardass
I know the title says Chevrolet, but I just want to make sure. Would this video apply to a 2016 Chevy Sonic LT? Thank you :)
yes you can use this video same procedure .

Thx thx u but will it make the air bag light go away and will it work properly?
It wont catch you in case of an accident.
@@Ozow1234 thx u damn any one know how to fix them properly or they have to be replaced period ?

Hi, I am wondering if you could take a video showing to fix a chevy camero seat that wont go back. Its stuck going forwards. Thanks love your videos

It’s worth the money if it saves your or your families lives
Ever think about SPEAKING in your videos? It would be very helpful instead of us guessing why you did something or what something is
The fact that pulls out and retracts does not mean it will lock up and restrain you in the event of a crash. This is not a repair !!!
Vehicle description and year in video description would be nice
It's hard to find someone to do this on my car
Very unsafe solution!!! It will cost life if accident happens!
The best solution is to replace it. Life is priceless.

If I need a hack, you will be the first person I call.
Can you say "Lawsuit" ?...😅
Talk
Really? That’s not fixing it the right way!
Scratch the crap out of the plastics
You don't fix seatbelts, only replace them.
Please Subscribe if you like the video, that will help me alot👍😊
is the seatbelt still functional ? will it still you restrain you in an accident?

@@Rougarou2023 laugh out loud
This seems like some real ignorant shit. Lmao sorrynotsorry
Is it that hard to put what vehicle you’re working on? Nobody knows bruh
Yeah, don't do this.
That explains absolutely nothing! Prying, grinding, yanking, pulling....voila?
2 hours labor @ $65= $130 used seatbelt $35 on ebay.
kia seatbelt plz?
Not is my country
WTF?!?
That looks annoying. I’m just pay someone to fix my stuff. Perks of making decent money.
Is the goal to avoid tickets with your worthless seat belt? Go drop $20 at pick-n-pull.
