In this video, I discuss why the Five Nights at Freddy's movie might not be as good as people are expecting. Of course, we all hope that the games will be adapted to the big screen successfully, but based on what I've seen from the trailers, I'm not convinced that it will be. Either way, the FNAF movie is going to be a must watch! William Afton (Steve Raglan) looks so good as Springtrap!
For those of you who didn't hear, I am starting a new upload schedule, which will be at least one video weekly, uploaded at 12 PM EST every Friday.
Thanks to all of my supporters! I am celebrating 1,350 subscribers, 100,000 views, and many great comments! I hope everyone enjoys this video and continues to share support!
Shoutout to Fuhnaff, The Game Theorists, Markiplier, RyeToast, Dawko, Sire Squawks, etc. for making me want to make FNAF videos!
Personally I don’t really care how good the movie it is. I’m just happy that it’s finally here and has actual good quality
it looks like a student film the animatronics looks cheap the only thing that looks good in this movie is the set stop being a blind consumers
@@silverloveguns hey bud. I’m gonna be so honest. I don’t care. I’m just happy that we’re finally getting it. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. You do you, dude.
@@silverloveguns They always looked cheap wtf are you talking about? 💀
@@silverlovegunslook cheap? 😅 tell me you’re not used to practical effects without telling me you aren’t used to practical effect
@@silverlovegunsLook at the camera quality, and the animatronics look almost exactly like the one's from the movie, Except the eyes, And also look at the Beautiful lighting and camera quality, along with the good-sounding acting, and Sound effects, Come on, you must have Very Very High expectations, Yet I doubt that you can do a lot of what these People do to make these films, So stop Complaining, Nothing is ever good enough for you, Is it?
I was never going in with the idea that the story was gonna fully be from the game's story, and I'm all the happier for that. We get to see fnaf from a completely new perspective.
If you think the FNaF movie will be not as good as people expected, remember, the movie based on FNaF is going to be its own universe. So, that means there’s going to be some things being different than the ones from the game universe. Like, for example, one of the FNaF book universes, the “Charlie Trilogy”, having Charlotte Emily being a living female robot humanoid, instead of being the living, possessed Marionette puppet. I’m still going to love every single scene and part of the FNaF film, like the Easter eggs, and references from previous, original games, books, RUclipsrs, etc. I think the movie will be positive, because I’ve heard, and seen that the final script story for the film is actually a combination of the previous ones written by Scott. So that’s cool. It’s like UCN, Ultimate Custom Night having almost all of the animatronic characters from the previous FNaF games in one game. It’s also like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame having, of course, almost all of the MCU, Marvel Cinematic Universe super hero characters joining together as a team, making, and doing a big crossover.
im actually so relieved hear that because based on the trailer, i feel like the movie doesn’t suit the story, doesn’t suit william, doesn’t suit michael, etc. so it’s nice that isn’t be a different universe 😅
I don't want to see a story I'm already familiar with, especially when there's very little meat on the skeleton of the story. I think they're fleshing out the story to give the films adequate depth to ensure that pacing won't be an issue and to give long-time followers a fresh perspective.
I personally always liked it when film adaptations do simply that-adapt the original property to film. I like seeing stories retold in a different form, film instead of game. Of course, everyone is different. It seems like we are going to be getting a new story loosely based around what we know from the games using the same characters. I do look forward to watching the movie and I hope to really like it.
@@bonswootchthe game storyline doesn’t work in a movie perspective. If this movie was canon to the games, we would get a movie about Michael Afton watching cameras and writing on a Logbook for 6 hours straight and then getting fired by odor :v
And he worked there only to get money and free pizza. In the movie he has a good reason to want money, because Mike needs to keep the custody of his little sister.
@@bonswootchThe lore from the games is waaay too convoluted for a direct 1:1 film adaptation. You also wouldn't want to tell a story that has already been told, you can ask Disney for feedback on that, not that it would be valuable... Their remakes are stale and basically say: "Here's a new look of an existing property!" We would already know all the beats of the story and it wouldn't be interesting or surprising to fans of FNaF if the movie went that route.
It will def be good. I’m sure. Scott rewrote this heaps of times. I was doubtful at first but now that we’ve seen springtrap and more scary moments like the knife, I’m really hopeful 🎉
Ehhh you dont know that
I personally think the movie will be it's own story, separate from the games.
I agree, I think it will take aspects from the games but will not be 1:1. As a fan of Matthew Lillard, I think his take on William Afton will be a great feature of the movie, since we don’t get much information on him in the games alone.
@@bonswootchI loved Matthew Lillard from Scream and hope I'll see him used a lot in the movie.
Well.. I thought it was OBVIOUS that the movie will have it's own canon
In that case, consider it a reiteration
You don’t know that William Afton makes a creepy in the FNAF Movie well, he’s in the spring Bonnie suit and I bet this is the true lore for FNAF 1 will be solved
I’m not sure I agree. We know a lot of things from the movie are different from the games so I wouldn’t use much of what’s in the game as evidence in the games’ lore.
3:38 That's probably what got you into FNaF, but there are people such as myself that don't care about the horror. I have more interest in the animatronics themselves and where the story goes.
I agree, I’m looking for a good story. With the new trailers and information, I’m much more excited than I was before. I’ve already got my ticket!
Just because the game lore and movie lore are not the same. Doesn't mean that's not gonna be good And also The Mario movie do not have the same lore as the games This is going to be a retelling of first 3 games story But in the same universe.
He’s been making this movie for 8 years. It’s gonna be good…
Okay.....whatever you say
@@jerryrobinson7414 yup. Can’t wait for this banger.
@@yourbestpallshawn4139 i meant that as a joke these trailers have supremely disappointed me
@@jerryrobinson7414 yea I’m aware lmao, but I think the movies gonna be good so go kick rocks ya bum.
The movie trailers look so childish its insane we waited 8 years for this and these childish badly lit trailers is what we get everybody saying''oh be grateful oh be grateful that we finally got the movie''is exactly apart of the problem i hope this movie is just a one and done thing if a second movie comes around i see no further hope for the fnaf franchise
Bro thought he ate with this comment
vanessa shelly isnt the same as vanessa from SB, i thin kthats pretty clear. and for abby schmidt i think she may be the stand in for elizabeth and i like this onw theory that abby is aftons daughter but because of cps n that stuff, she got taken away or somethin im not entirely sure for that aspect i forget the dude who made the theory as well. but none of that matters, im jsut hapoy ro see a fnaf movie after all these years and scott is wiritng jt so i have hope for it and boththe trailers, and tv spots look AMAZING. this movie is going ro be good, and if im wrong im wromg, idc if its bad im still going to watch ti and in the end ill be satisfied to see this movie. one thing i hope for is the speonglock scene, but most likely it wont and thats completely okay, just happy to see william and the springbonnie suit
nah the movie's gonna be awesome
Same.😎👍
Keep gassing this movie up like its gonna be good anyways
@@jerryrobinson7414 I will.
@@justanotherguy560 alright keep glazing
@@jerryrobinson7414 glazing? I’ve been waiting for this movie for 9 years, and you think I’m gonna stop at just glazing? Nah. I’ll be done when I’m stuffed like fucking Boston cream, and creamier than Mac n cheese.
In the game lore Michael is Williams son so I’m really hoping that in the movie there is a plot twist and Mike finds out that William is actually his father I know that there is another casting for Mike and Abby’s dad but maybe he could be a step dad however this seems very unlikely to be the case
I stopped trying to predict movies based on the trailer after Hereditary and Barbarian
Still think it looks cool ngl
literally all youve gotta do is not set your expectations so high for a seemingly simple movie
People saying this is apart of the problem my expectations arent peak horror levels high i want a good horror movie not some childish shit im so tired of seeing wave after wave of people defending this movie to death im extremely disappointed by scott and the directors
This guy needs to step outside 👆
I'm sorry but Abby isn't a entirely new character, shes just Elisabeth. Heck even her name is a anagram for Baby.
What other similarities are there between Elizabeth and Abby other than their names? I mean I guess because she’s related to Mike, who is theorized to be an Afton. I’m just curious what this theory regarding Abby is.
@@bonswootch
The other main big point of evidence is indeed the familial relation, helped by the child actor for Golden Freddy giving away the detail that Mike and Abby are his siblings and this presumably the reason why Golden Freddy is friendly in the trailers. Also the idea that the MCI victims want to turn her into one of them, regardless if thats actually true or not, (Since the MCI victims only attack adults in the games) does seem intentionally placed to put the idea of Abby becoming a animtronic into the audiences head
However there is a weaker but given the nature of the franchise detail that stands outs, when Elisabeth was alive and as seen what is presumably her room in 4 she is a big fan of the color pink. Abby likewise is constantly shown wearing that color.
THAT is a bad headcanon to have. That is in no way confirmed
@@bonswootch You don't even need more proof, it's a girl around the same age, their names have connections, both are Mike's sisters.
The physical similarities don't really matter, Scott has entire characters' designs between books and games. In the games Susie is blond in the story "Coming Home" her hair is brown.
@@JoeStud No FNaF fan is literally complaining about it being different, we all know it's going to be like what happened with Silver Eyes for example. Those who are mad, 70% probably are not fans since they don't understand game lore and think it's all the same and then get confused.
I’ll still watch it tho
Isnt Jim Henson involved with this movie? That in itself is enough for me to get a ticket 100%
Jim Henson’s Creature Shop built all of the animatronics. They do look incredibly accurate!
This aged well
What did you think of the movie?
It was what it was supposed to be@@bonswootch
And i just realized that the fnaf movie devs got inspired by the living tombstone if you watch the fnaf 1 song made by TLT you can clearly see it match the song and the movie
Since i watch the movie it was not scary as I has hopping for but I'm going to rate it 7/10 I hope bendy the ink machine movie would not be ass
As this FNAF movie
Damn this whole 9 years of waiting and I'm going to get an ass movie omg I'm just disappointed 😞
And also afton family does not exist 😂😂
hopefully the movie will be as great as the game!
I agree, I am looking forward to William Afton.
Love that Scooby-Doo picture
Haha nice pfp :)
My problem is just how generic it looks. I know horror is subjective, but I can't see anyone geniunely believing that the movie gives off the same vibe of fear and dread as the original game did. The cupcake kill from the second trailer looked goofy as heck
The animatronics from the first game were generic though, just a brown bear, yellow chicken and blue bunny. The shots, dark lighting, emptiness and atmospheric tension are what really bring out the dread and uncanny feeling of the characters.
@@Savage.-_.Gamer1 The original animatronics actually were the scariest to me, just by design. I can't even explain why really
@@MayaNudelKruhtzfamily because they were simple, they were the most real looking animatronics in the whole franchise and thats what gave the horror
@@Savage.-_.Gamer1Another fnaf fan coping trying to sell these shit trailers as somethibg worth watching
Video was right. What can I say? FNaF prophet
Yeah we won’t get the bite of 83 because William kidnaps mikes little brother in the movie description
It's a good movie for fnaf fans
I hope so :)
Its not its really not.....
Am I the only one who noticed the weapons hung on his wall behind him?
Blah blah blah… movie was great! 10/10

No way, I know the movie is going to be goofy. I'll still see it opening weekend with all my buddies
Also imagine if the robots where the FNAF plus versions and not these goofy red-eyed and eyebrow laden ones
They’re probably saving the scares for the actual movie
Sad thing is FNAF+ is gone forever so we'll never know how scary the animatronics could of been

i think the fnaf plus versions are poopoo and way too unrealistic looking, they just look like they are on crack, the fnaf movie animatronics look amazing

Do you agree or disagree? It doesn’t have to ruin your day it’s just my opinions. I’m excited for the movie but I have some concerns. That’s all. I hope that clears things up.
@@bonswootch it's not gonna be really good but I think it will be good if we get a springlock scene
Nobody cares really nobody cares
Brother, the movie is going to an Amazing film. Scott would not let it go to shit.
I already knew it wasn’t going to be good. I was disappointed when I saw the first teaser but I‘ve accepted it to be a dumb fun movie. Not what I wanted but at least I‘ll have fun watching it
Elaborate on why the film won’t be good. Ur only judging the trailers.
@@bluntkush5888 idk it’s just a feeling. The animatronics having facial expressions is just so unfaithful to the games and it doesn’t look scary at all.
@@thatgabeitchinyourcloset6292 they always had facial expressions… that affect the movie at all.
@@thatgabeitchinyourcloset6292 they’re 100% hiding all scariest scenes for the movie. There’s no way this movie would flip when Scott approves it.
@@bluntkush5888 no. Part of what made them scary in the first place back then in 2014 was that they were just staring blankly and the eyebrows didn’t move. They were uncanny and the movie seems to be lacking this fear factor. FNAF was never about scary action it was about the atmosphere and the unknown and the trailers leave me to suggest that the movie will rely mostly on quick pace horror. And after 7 years wouldn’t you think Scott just got tired of it and wanted the movie to just get done? Seem plausible to me
