@TowMan127 Same that's why I chose to be in a wheel lift. I agree lazy and lack of training is the problem. I'm going to send this video to coworkers. Skates all day and you got this.
@ skates are great to have on any truck. I have a set of skates on my recorder cause you never know if you have to pull a car out of a spot or something. I also carry a ball joint skate also known as as a control arm skate cause sometimes they make the job easier.
Doing a practical exam for towing company tomorrow, your vids are so helpful in processing the knowledge... id be nervous swinging that hammer even close to car
@@Cybersin-vo6re good luck and if you have any questions feel free to reach out. I’m always willing to help others out. After doing this job for a while you get comfortable doing certain things like hammering the skates.
@TowMan127 I appreciate it, in your proressional opinion... does it look good to a new prospective employer thar there candidate boned up on the knowledge prior to day spent our with them... I took the whole weekend to watch vids and get more comfortable with what I was seeing...
@@Cybersin-vo6re the best thing to do is just be honest. Some companies would train employees so that they know what they’re doing. Lots of stuff to learn. I have a playlist that has videos. @TowMan127 I appreciate your words, this company unfortunately since they contacted me in urgency of starting me has only shown signs and indicators that there really not as urgent to need me after all... like tonight when I called to verify time for tomorrow they gave loose indicator they'd contact me in the morning... I've had this happen with few tow companies already, where they contact me only to then show mixed signals and passive further interest in me... I'm perplexed

brother i would have preferred wrecker with wheel dollies over this. in NC i would have made those vehicles get out the way if i all i had was a flatbed
Usually having the bed lined up straight with the vehicle is much easier. It’s only easier if the vehicle goes straight up the bed cause sometimes the vehicle will change direction even if it’s a straight pull. Having skates and a snatch block makes things easier.
@@slynorman4547 you’re welcome. Here to help. They sell suction cups that have metal plates on them for the wireless tow lights as well. They work great.
Not really recommended but it has been done before. As long as it’s in neutral and in 2wd not 4x4. How far are you towing it? Can you not tow it backwards?
So many flatbed guys need to see this. In my experience, people give up and say it needs this and that's equipment.
@@Karvision a lot of people are either lazy or don’t have the experience. I enjoy the challenges

Nice to see a fellow NC Operator, saying what's up from High Point my friend!
👋 what company? I’ve been out there a few times.
Big TowMan dropping an over hour video. 😃😃👍👍
I try to keep my videos as short as possible but this one took a while.
Do you like the International or Ram better?
@@ichbindarren the international can handle more weight. The dodge is a smoother ride.
Love that ride ❤
They’re nice when they run good. When they don’t, they’re a PIA!

I go to Charlotte a few times a week. I might be in a different truck every time I go there though. Where in Charlotte?

Great job buddy..the range rover not too close to drag?
Thanks! Not sure what you mean by being too close.
@@TowMan127 I mean the interior of the vehicle is very close to the plate..maybe more boom should be taken out..
a challenging tow for sure when a vehicle stuck in gear looks like its harder to wrench up the bed don't have a direct pull on it

What do you use as those dividers in the toolbox to organize it’s a great idea
They are 5”X5” vinyl fence posts
I’ll make a post in the community section showing what I use.
hey love the video tow truck driver out in nyc just one question if u could answer where did u get the tool box organizer at or what is it called
I’m from NYC as well. Moved to NC almost 2 years ago. The organization is from Lowe’s. I cut 5”X5” vinyl fence posts. I’m going to make a video on it.
Hey where did you put the lights at.
The tow light? I mounted it underneath the Range Rover. I strapped it to the hitch.

I hope the customer is not being charged by the hour! You might try using dish soap instead of your skates.
Skate are fine. Customers get charged accordingly. I get the job done without any damages and get paid to do so.
