Hey I'm looking for the write protect screw inside my 303c can you help me find it
how do you extract data from the motherboard?
I just needed to change the battery so that seemed pretty simple. Although who ever had this poor thing before had something go wrong and there is a hump under the keyboard and touchpad. Only the touch pad doesn't work just right so I use a mouse.

I dismantled my old chrome book because I was bored but will anything bad happen if I don’t plug the battery back in?
No. Computers should be able to run fine with just the power adapter plugged in for most operations.
Can we perform upgrades? Ram or ssd?
Not in this machine, no. The hard drive and the RAM are integrated into the motherboard. They cannot be easily removed.
A Little piece of charge broke inside of it, how can I take it out do I unscrew the bottom like your doing here? Can I get help please

Hi, where can I see the sim card slot for these? We have 2 Chromebooks but there are some sort of small foams on both slots at the back and we can't manage to remove them. I just want to make sure that that is the correct slots before I tear the foams. Thank you for your answer.

I have one of these and it's not really good for anything other than RUclips at 360p. 480p drops frames the moment you move the touchpad. Are other Chromebook motherboards able to be transplanted in? I'm hoping to get more functionality out of it since it doesn't even support Playstore.
No. Unfortunately you cannot just bring in another motherboard. It would have to be compatible and fit into this computer. Im afraid this model is very old. Not many options for upgrades.
If you remove the cover in this method you break all the attachment clips in the back - USB side - you need to remove the side cover first!
If your careful no, you dont break all the clips.

Is there a way i can replace the card? Is it built in with the motherboard? What part do i need to buy and where does it located? Please help. Thanks you in advance
Most likely not. If its integrated into the motherboard, removing it would take special equipment and skills. Usually easier and cheaper to replace the motherboard.

the chromebook i have is enrolled and the only sure way of unenrolling is to replace the ssd. the only problem is that the ssd is not in the spot it usually is in and is probably under a plate i dont think it able to come out without breaking something because it almost looks like a small rivet.
What model do you have? Most chromebooks have the SSD integrated into the motherboard. It cannot be removed.
PC Monkey the mode is XE310XBA I have look on google and safari and there are no signs of it at all I scanned the QR code and nothing showed up

When the motherboard was out of laptop i read Your information about absence of screw and write protect. I connected all the parts but chromebook did not started . I brought today to service center to see what i did wrong.
In some caces i need to see how to assemble device together.

That situation was as lesson for me - to be more attentive to avoid excessive pay in the service center😀

Where is the hard drive?
Google tells me it is part of the mother board, soldered on, but, you mght really have mentioned that.
Yes, as seen in this video, this model does not have an independent Hard Drive. In those cases, it as well as other components such as the RAM, would be integrated into the Motherboard.
If I mentioned every part not found in this computer that is found in others, the video would be ten times longer lol. Sry

Good question. That's what I was wondering too. I was planning to buy this model laptop but to upgrade ram and hard drive. Looks like that wont be happening.

Yes, you would have to unplug the entire motherboard to take it out. If its still plugged in, how would you remove it? There is no write protect screw in this model.

Usually not. Its integrated into the motherboard. Unless you have special equipment, its not possible.

In this model computer, the RAM is a part of the Motherboard and so cannot be independently upgraded.
How do I tighten the screen it wont stay up on an angle ?
What wont stay up at an angle? If you see screws that need tightening, then you would get the appropriate sized screw driver and tighten them

In most small chromebooks like this one, the RAM is integrated into the motherboard and cannot be easily removed.

Don't suppose anyone happens to know what I need to replace on my Chromebook? If I plug the charger in, there is no light, and I'm unable to turn the Chromebook on so I'm assuming the battery is completely dead?

@@PC_Monkey Thanks for that, having watched that video and the power jack testing video I have come to conclusion that there's a problem with the motherboard itself. I unfortunately lack the knowledge to trace where the problem is on the board, so just going to wait for a replacement board to pop up on eBay hopefully soon 🤞
@@mrbrit6746 Replacing motherboards on most laptops is usually a better option than trying to fix it. If you need help finding one, let me know :) Chromebook motherboards are usually pretty easy to find on Ebay
@@PC_Monkey Does it have to be the same model number as the one that's currently in my Chromebook, as there seem to be several different boards for the 303C? Can't find the board that's currently in mine on eBay right now
@@mrbrit6746 It does not have to be the exact part number board. But it does usually have to be the same model number. Look at the board to see if it physically the same. If it is, you can chance that it will fit.
