The banality of evil is in reference to Eichman and his lack of remorse in “just following orders” defense while committing atrocities. He was tried and executed shortly after his trial. If your bar is people marching with signs at every outrage or slight by Trump don't hold your breath. I'm not a politician, though I almost got into politics back in the mid-70s, then thought better of it. I am not a journalist or a historian nor anything like that - BUT I am a person who has closely followed major [and some minor] political issues for the last 50 years in the US, Canada and the UK, and a bit in other countries as well. In those 50 years, one thing above all else that I have learned is this:
When a politician seems to have done something, but then has a plausible explanation that suggests they actually didn't [like the thing about some unnamed staffer posting that video without Trump's knowledge], you can't just disregard the explanation because you don't like the politician or you like the narrative that they did something, but you also can't just assume the explanation is true - any politician that does a thing which causes negative backlash is likely to lie as a form of damage control - now I'll admit that some are less likely and some more, but even the best do it. So how do you handle it? You look at the full history of actions by the politician and ask the simple question - does what they are accused of fit with their past, or does their excuse make more sense based on their past?
Trump has a long history of making admiring comments about Hitler, saying things like how he did a lot of good for Germany and stuff like that. Trump also has a history of quoting Hitler [then saying he didn't know it was a Hitler quote] and praising various authoritarians. Trump has a history of associating with known, self-identified, neoNazis. Put all that [and much more history] together, and the posting of that video with full knowledge of what is included in it fits well with his past behaviour. Also, when there is backlash, blaming some unnamed staffer fits his historic pattern of behaviour. Therefore, well we don't at this time have absolute proof he knew and intended or approved of the posting of this video, based on his own history, it is more likely than not. Moreover, even if it was some unnamed staffer who found and posted the video, that really just shows that the staffer understood what Trump wanted because posting it fits Trump's past behaviour. In other words, he might not have done it in this case, but if he had been the one to first see this video, he certainly would have been likely to do it.
I feel we all must look not only at this moment in time, but the last 50 years of Trump history when asking if he is likely to have done something. I have followed Trump when he made the news starting back in the 1990s and after becoming aware of him, I looked at old news a bit from the 1980s and I have since seen some stuff back in the 70s - there is a long and rich pattern that should inform anyone about who he is and what he does. The fact that in all that history, there is never any suggestion that he has changed his nature over time is in of itself informative.
Please everyone 🙏 treat Trump with a total lack of attention! Then vote against him! Americans don't want a fecal stain on their ballot 😂😂

The problem is that they can put a gag order on him. They can’t put one on his other mouth pieces who will go out and say it for him. Personally, I have always thought of "Peaceful Democracy" was by Christ and his Armor Bearers protecting God's beloved and WEAK! children. I have ZERO objection to Americans trying another path.
