Bruh if you’ve ever even played a soprano sax, you’ll know it can hurt after a while. I usually play tenor, and that can get a bit heavy if I’m not careful. Bari is usually harness worthy, but contrabass is a whole new level of neck strength.
Id take next strap pain over marching euphonium pain. Holding that up during like 10+ minute exercises are awful. It makes literally like every arm muscle+ your shoulder and back muscles to be mad sore.

The soprano never hurt me. Been playing soprano since 1965, mainly from 1972 onward

I would recommend something that doesn't directly go on your neck like a jazzlab saxholder (that's what I use for bari.) A padded strap is fine though
No, I’m fine playing mine with just a neck strap. However it may hurt your neck if you stand with it for too long.

No, just a low A, low g saxophones usually have a bell that goes above the neck, or a bell that has 6 keys, this one has 5.
