Those were so good it’s difficult to pick a favorite, but I’d say the Kenny loggins and Joe Esposito ! I remember seeing all of those movies at the theater!
The first 3 Cinderella were really good, I saw them in the late 80s on The Long Cold Winter Tour, great live band, I also liked the direction that they were heading on their third album, Heartbreak Station. That's for keeping late 80s hard rock alive, Emily, 😊
Loved their first album and Long Cold Winter came out around my 19th birthday, and I got the cassette tape in Bahrain. I celebrated my birthday there during the Persian Gulf conflict between Iran and Iraq, when I was in the Navy & you could still go out in town on liberty. Thanks for bringing back the memory, Emily. You Rock!
I was listening to Long Cold Winter in the old CD players on leave from USAF for Christmas. It was a long cold winter stationed in South Dakota! Those were some crazy times eh?
Your dedication to keeping 80's hair metal alive is truly inspiring! It's amazing to see how you bring the energy and spirit of that era into your videos, reminding me why I fell in love with this genre in the first place 🎸🎸
You got down those five fret rock chords.... you've got long enough fingers to get em the right way. Luv that JEM!!! You look terrific ❤❤❤ Thanks and have fun
@@guitarbyemily Your welcome. Really admire your busy scheduling. School, work, hobbies and podcasts... Keep up the positive vibes....we all love ya❤️😁❤️
Nice job on this! I always thought Cinderella was criminally under appreciated as a band. Seen them live twice and the blow the roof off the building every performance. What really caught my attention here was you nailed the solo!
Wow!! That was worth the wait. Some big pinky stretches, think you could do Ratt lay it down!! And I enjoyed the solo, nailed that bend at the end, your expression said it all😀
It's incredible to be able to play that well after just three years. There's definitely a lot of natural talent and hard work going on. That's a great song with great riffs. You covered it very well. 😃
Have a blessed weekend, Emily, You make the world better by making people smile and remembering good times from the magical decade of the 80s. Means a lot, more than You know!
my first video ive seen of yours!! love your playing, song choices, and killer guitars....just subscribed and gonna watch alot more right now...amazing!!
I was playing this in a cover band when I was your age. Now I feel really old lol! Awesome job as always Emily! Your next Cinderella song you should try is Somebody Save Me or Nobody’s Fool. Night Songs was such a great record!
I love Gypsy Road! That was the first Cinderella song I ever heard back on MTV when there was the 1-800-DIAL- MTV countdown! My favorite song though is Somebody Shake Me. Night Songs album is where it's at for sure!
@@guitarbyemily Welcome! Something I've been wondering about. You said in one of your Q&A's that you can also play piano. Well, did you like me & so many other elementary school music students start on the recorder flute & then graduate to the piano & so on?
I have one guitar I use for my recent recordings where I try to turn songs into instrumentals in my effort to improve my guitar playing and ear, and it's a white PRS Les Paul or rather a Michael Ackerfelt signature PRS I painted white lol
One guy I can't sing like....Tommy Kiefer! When I saw him (new band) I was so happy that I was singing and crying at the same time. Dude has been through hell though with that vocal cord paralysis :(
My favorite guitarist... Please, when a possible, make a video with the song Givin' Yourself Away by Ratt! I would love to see her playing this beautiful song! Beautiful Smile...
You may not think it was perfect maybe it wasn't but sounded great to me. I see improvement in every one of your videos. To sum it up in a word Fantastic
You don’t sound like you been playing for three years, you sound like you been playing for a very long time. I been playing for 30 years and I don’t sound as good as you. Rock on!
Great cover! Don't apologize for not playing that long. You're a far better guitarist than I was at your age and certainly play leads better than this old guy. You have great skills. Be confident in your abilities and continue to grow.
Awesome job! I love this one! I covered this one way back during my 1st year doing covers. I might redo it, because it's back when my quality, camera angle and skills were not as good lol Great job once again Emily!!
Nice job Emily! I started working on Never Enough by LA guns, I wanna work on Rip and Tear and Ballad of Jayne also by them. I know Rip and Tear on bass, it was fun to play on that, so I imagine it’s even more fun, on guitar. Yeah! I have played bass for about 30+ years, but only been on guitar for around a year. So you are considerably better than me. You are also way younger, you guys can learn things a lot faster. Plus I worked construction all my life since I was 15, so I have to also fight with my hands. But you’re doing great! Can’t wait to see ya on a stage kicking ass one day! Have a good day lady! I’m off to practice myself. AKA glutton for punishment 🙄 😂
@@guitarbyemily yup! And thank for responding. Maybe one day, I’ll start recording how I am coming along, I used to do it with my bass videos but wanted to re record all but one… The last Kiss Pearl Jam, I have been on guitar so much that by the time that I am done with that, and work… my day is shot. Have you tried Living after Midnight yet? It’s a fun one to play. I can even do the solo, it’s really not hard or too long, but fun song. And I am about 2/3 through Paranoids solo. And gone away I can play the whole song.. rhythm and lead parts. iron Man is another that I can do through about half of the solo, but when I got to Push Push by Cinderella, and Reason to lives solos I was like screw this.
Those were so good it’s difficult to pick a favorite, but I’d say the Kenny loggins and Joe Esposito ! I remember seeing all of those movies at the theater!
