Thanks, Andy. We had some squalls down my way in WV and over the mountain at my grandparents in the Shenandoah Valley yesterday. Was thinking about you all the other day, wondering how you all were doing and how Isaac was getting along with his mountain banjer.
Wish I'd never heard the lyrics to this song!! It spooks me out. Aside from that it's just a lovely mountain mode vibe. Well played as always, with your own special sauce.
Thanks. Having the extra head tends to add a bit more resonance (to me at least). The overall size and geometry of the gourd and shell/wall thickness plays a big part in the overall tone/sound.
Hello Noah. I have been watching your videos now for about two weeks. Since your video showed up on my feed. Do you have the tabs to this song? I would like to get it from you. Or purchase it. This song really touches my soul. The banjo is the only instrument that does that to me. Also, I went to banjo hangout looking for your banjos but I could not find you. How would I do that?
Hi Richard, I do have a tab for this tune as someone else had asked for it. Send me an email and I’ll send the tab to you: n_cline1@aol.com Here’s my homepage on the Hangout: www.banjohangout.org/my/Noah%20Cline
Thanks. It’s fDGCD, so for your gourd banjo, it would be cADGA if you currently have it tuned to D, or dBEAB if in E. G modal tuning (gDGCD) works as well - I just like tuning the fifth down a tone/step for a different flavor sometimes.
@@NoahCline thanks..i brought my banjo out to my campfire last night and the high string peg would not hold at all..so I HAD to tune the banjo down..but when i got back inside, the peg held. The temperature change mustve made the wood shrink then expand back. It was such a fast change..outside about 38f and inside 68f...banjo had a mind of its own!
Yep, friction pegs, even metal versions, will slip or stick with weather/climate changes (mail mainly wood slightly expanding or contracting) on the peghead tuners or the plastic button on the fifth.
Hi Joshua, I still have about 30 orders to get to. I’ve been slowly getting caught up but have had some come in the last couple weeks. If you’d like, shoot me an email here: n_cline1@aol.com

Noah, that’s just what our northern Appalachians sound like, to us. Just beautiful. Thanks for posting.

Fantastic Noah!
Del McCoury classic
That sounds great really lovely rendition. I'm curious how having two heads affects the tone of these banjos. It also looks incredibly cool!

What’s your wait time for a gourd banjo right now? I’d love a gourd with double strings!
