I could listen to Kevin Sullivan all day and I’ve said so many times and will again that Devon “ Hannibal” Nicholson is one of the best interviewers because he is a fan, does his homework and asks great questions and never interrupts his guests! Awesome channel!
Sullivan was so good at being a heel that people really thought he killed Woman and her family. Very thoughtful and intelligent man. Great shoot interview.
Great video. I think Kevin is one of the most underrated people in the wrestling business as a wrestler and Booker . I’m so sick of internet marks saying certain wrestlers are bad workers because they don’t have 2000 moves. Kevin understood ring Psychology and Drew money everywhere he worked.
Another amazing interview. I love the fact that you get these legends of the squared circle to sit down with you, let them talk, and have such knowledgeable, well thought out questions.
Kevin Sullivan is one the greatest of alll time. Hannibal as always does a perfect interview. Best I have seen in a while. Im a big fan. Keep up the good 👍job.
Hannibal your shoot interviews are the BEST going today. Well researched. Respectful (with pandering). And you allow the subjects to talk. Thankyou SO much for all the great content. God bless
Sullivan is a Legend. As a long time fan of the Business, without people like Sullivan,Flair,Dusty? There would be no Wrestleing boom in the 80's,no attitude Era,no mon night wars NOTHING
Kevin Sullivan is one of the best at everything in wrestling. I cant get enough interviews with him. Can anyone tell me if he has a book. If not he needs one.
A wrestling mind like no other. As a kid watching him on tv his presence was intimidating and he only stood 5ft 9in and weighed around 240-250 lbs. A man truly meant to b in the wrestling business.
Kevin Sullivan! What a fucking legend! Never messed about with WWF and i love that about him. Hearing talking about the old days is amazing! Watching Impact recently seeing Kev turn up for the Rosemary Allie story line was fucking amazing! I hope he pops up again. I heard he said they need more big men at Impact and recommended to you (Hannibal) that you should try and get in there. I agree. It would be awesome to see you there. Kevin Sullivan true legend! Thanks Hannibal for these awesome videos, you're fantastic at making there man!!
Absolutely, a big fan of Mr. Sullivan. The more interviews I watch with him being the subject, the more I appreciate and agree with his point of view. The way he is able to really use no bias logic to describe how human nature levels the field for us all in life. Hats off to Mr. Sullivan!!,Wise words with class that's good to see .Thank you again ,HANNIBAL!! Outstanding!
I’ve always enjoyed listening to Sullivan’s storytelling. Even stuff that I wouldn’t think I would find interesting is great. I was a weekly listener of his most recent podcast that ended last year. Really interesting guy. One of the few guys from the old days who is open to change and accepts the new stuff.
WWe HOF is a fucking joke anyway. He's already in the Wrestling Observer HOF which even PWI recognizes as the only legit HOF in pro wrestling. Plus...no fucking celebrities
Kevin Sullivan is a genius the devil gimmick was awesome I live in Florida so every Saturday we had to watch and what he's going to do next awesome stuff Kevin is one my All time favorites along with Dusty Rhodes when Mark lewin came in as the purple Haze WOW man wicked man good memories as a kid growing up
Kevin Sullivan is a genius for sure. I got to see him live and got to watch him on Saturdays from the fullers Southeastern championship wrestling from Knoxville.
I remember being in the Channel 5 studio in Memphis on a few Saturday mornings as a kid, and it was during that time Kevin was talking about. The Moon Dogs were waylaying everybody. They would walk out there chewing on those great big bones, and they would tag up against Jerry and Bill Dundee. They would win one Saturday, then the others would win the next. Good days then.
Sullivan is head and shoulders above HTM, and doesn't constantly bury people with lies, resentment, and jealousy, and doesn't contradict himself! And was a way better all around performer - better worker, more entertaining, better mind for the business. HTM is a resentful, jealous, hateful mid-card has been, who only got work in Pro Wrestling bcuz he's Jerry "The King" Lawler's cousin!
What a wealth of knowledge this guy is. Great stuff. Him in Florida early-mid 80's was awesome. His satanic persona was actually believable back then the way he did it.
For sure. Sullivan was maybe not the first "monster" character in wrestling but he is the first one I personally remember. Only person I can recall in the 80s that was genuinely scary like this guy was Rattlesnake Brooks though Rattlesnake didn't go to the extent that Sullivan did to sell and live the character.
Meng/Haku was and is a genuinely scary person in and outside of the ring also. I should say that he was probably the best representation of the style these guys were selling.

Kevin Sullivan gives a great interview! I like his podcast on MLW premium, but really miss the old free podcast, the MSL & Sullivan Show, that he did for MLW!!! Kevin really knows his wrestling history, and was a big player in wrestling during my favorite eras, the eighties NWA & WCW, and nineties WCW! The NWA/WCW along with Mid-South/UWF, were better than anything that WWF/E, NJPW, Impact, ROH or any other promotion offered or offers, past or present!
So much I had no idea about and that's what I love about these the most beyond really being the place for top interviews. Thanks. I would love to see some people too many to name hope more comes.
Hannibal, Ive been a wrestling fan since 1986. 32 years (spite I quit watching full time 2 years ago)...Watching these shoot interviews of yours...Do you know what separates you/your interviews from the rest...(Spite Cornette, Jericho and others have podcasts)....Your a wrestler talking to wrestlers, not a fan talking to legends. I enjoy your calm respectful demeanor. Look forward to more and more interviews. I can hook you up with WWF HOF Tito Santana if interested for an interview and booking for GNW. Actually I believe you emailed me a while back booking him for Bad News Brown memorial show.
I agree with you 100%. Hannibal's interviews are excellent. I also enjoy Titlematch Wrestlings interviews but Hannibals interviews seem to have the upper hand due to the comradery. I am 35 yrs old now and started watching wrestling as soon as I could stay content long enough to enjoy it but stopped watching it quite a few years back due to Vince buying up all of the competition so I keep my love of wrestling alive with these interviews. I was different than other kids growing up, my favorite wrestlers were guys like Kevin Sullivan, Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko... so on and so forth while the other kids were rooting for Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior.
I never feel older than when I see my old Idols balding and wrinkled . I am 53 so my childhood heros are in their early 70s or late 60s . Kevin was a favorite of mine because we were both short thick guys . When I saw him wrestle I could imagine actually becoming a worker too .
It's on Disc 1 on a Best of Barry Windham 20 Volume set I believe, and the person you need to contact on Ebay has the username iamwoody25256. I haven't ordered the set yet, but probabl will at some point.
Great interview. As a fellow Bostonian, I have a lot of respect for Kevin Sullivan. The only thing that he is wrong about is that doctors and geneticists have been trying to find different genes for behaviors etc,but there is ABSOLUTELY no suicide, depression, gay or any behavior disorder genes. The only screwed up genes there really are is if you're a child of incest, but even though incest, genes are not always messed up. A lot of times they are totally fine. Awesome videos!!!
This interview changed my opinion of Mr. Sullivan. I was suspect of his involvement in Benoit's death but now I am fairly sure he had nothing to do with it. Thank you for this Hannibal.
One of the funniest gimmicks I’ve ever seen in wrestling was the 1 Sullivan used in the dying days of CWF when every week he would get more & more mentally unstable. Solie: “I don’t know what Kevin Sullivan is doing!” Sullivan as he’s grabbing his head & falling backwards in front of Gordon’s desk. “Somebody help...ME!!” I think part of it is on RUclips as Kevin Sullivan loses it.
I would agree Hogan took a lot from "Superstar" Billy Graham but also Austin Idol he took the flexing his muscles and calling his arms pythons and Idol also used the term Idolmania which Hulk copied calling it Hulkamania and ran with it. Believe those two early on shared some car rides to towns and stuff probably around the time Hulk was using the name Sterling Golden down south.
This was a highly interesting interview from one of the best bookers in the business Kevin Sullivan. This is the guy who the wwe needs today to get them out of this hot/cold thing thats been going on for about the last 5years(ever since I started watching wrestling again after I stopped for 10 years or more) and I believe that if Triple H or Vince would reach out Kevin would help them out. Fans make fun of the dungeon of Doom and I'll admit myself it was silly but we did get the Giant out of it plus Kamala was always a good heal plus Meng was insane. I liked is varsity club angle with Rotunda and Rick Steiner and I also liked when he teamed up with Foley what a team they made.
WestWick88 Yes, Sullivan is smart. Who cares if some don't like The Dungeon type stuff....i'm sick of seeing hhh's face but is he gonna be nice enough to take himself off of tv???? Heck no, he believes everyone WANTS to see his ____ face.
I must say, that a Kevin Sulivan interview needs to have a certain pace to it, to allow the storytelling to unwind, and i think Hannibal gets it just right. BTW I would really like another Scott Steiner interview, that focuses a bit more on the weight lifting side of things.
Kevin sullivan is without a doubt the best wrestler to hear about the business. I met Kevin In florida at a gym where he trained Called Athletes Fitness Center. The business was owned by Rick and Debbie Poston. kevin use to come in with the Fallen Angel. He use to wear sweatpants with the name Devil on them. He was a very cool guy and easy to talk to. I also remember Purple Haze use to train there also. By the way this was in Tampa Florida. Those were the days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I def agree with needing a long interview with Kevin. Hannibal always lets the guys talk which I love and never interrupts or tries to impress his guests. Makes for Really great listens.
I hope that you will overcome the scary Corona 19 and that your channel will develop more and more every day, and it will be a huge success. Thank you for making and showing your wonderful and valuable video.
Cringe. They’ve had one fucking show. One good match. People act like it’s the number one rated show already I hate wwe these fays so I hope It does well but let’s wait before we call it successful for crying out loud
would love to see a booking interview with sully on what if they did not do the nwo. instead, building hall and nash up to be us and world champ in a years time from 96-97.
Rhea Ripley could be a huge star in WWE, Charlotte and Becky are great they put on great shows, Rousey was a great heel and baby face...sadly I don’t notice any guys who could be the next Austin, or The Rock. Cena was eh, Reigns can’t talk but he’s got a great look
Kevin Sullivan & Dick Murdoch one of the most vicious tag teams ever. thier matches only lasted about a minute, but it was alot of mayhem in that minute 😂
I agree about Superstar! Hell once SBG turned face, a dream team of SBG and Dusty to battle the bad guys would have been AWESOME! SBG and Andre battling the bad guys would have been EPIC! Later down the line, the transition from WWWF to WWF could have been SBG to Hogan. With the Iron Sheik or another heel as a tranisitional champion! between the two! Or if they wanted a Superstar to turn heel, they could have done it that way. Or they could have even done a precursor to Hogan vs. Warrior. And do a face vs. face match. Bottom line is SO MANY possibilities with SBG as a long term face champ! Backlund NEVER fit the WWWF World Title template anyway. He was more of an NWA or AWA World Champ type back in that era. BUT among those guys, Backlund wouldn't standout as much as a worker. He would have been one of several great technicians or ring generals. In the WWWF, he stood out A LOT MORE. Because most of the top guys were big guys or brawlers. Guys like Bruno, SBG, and Dusty were MADE FOR IT!! And young Vince ALSO likes larger than life big guys or brawlers as his poster child and 2nd biggest star. Hogan, Andre, Warrior, Austin, Rock, Cena, Batista, Lesnar, and Roman are his kind of guys. Sure there are exceptions. But typically, Vince likes his top two stars to be that type of guy.
So weird watching a Sullivan out of character interview. You're so used to seeing this demented guy who is either leading the Varsity Club to the ring or is trying to take out Hogan.
@3h:01, perfect wisdom by Kevin, burning the library of Alexandria "I think they want to burn down the history of wrestling, this is the WWE universe." If these major networks can pay loads of $$$ for actors on dumb sit-coms, Fox could start a TV only promotion, "CWF" - Championship Wrestling on Fox. Sports oriented, strong & heat style, with the great advisors like Kevin, JJ, Corny. Cross-over talent with MMA at times.
This was an awesome interview, I was wondering if Hannibal was going to bring up the C.B incident, and truly I don’t believe the conspiracy theory. I also think Kevin is right about the fact that wrestling is not the same as it was.
Bob Backlund & Steve Keirn / The Original Trading Places plot point ( Eddie Murphy - Dan Ackroyd ) The fortunes of many with a small money bet driving the followthrough.

I'm so glad Kevin Sullivan tells more stories on his podcast, Taskmaster Talks!
Damn I didn't know he had one. I need to check it out.
Another amazing interview. I love the fact that you get these legends of the squared circle to sit down with you, let them talk, and have such knowledgeable, well thought out questions.
Man I been on Hannibal TV damn near everyday of this COVID-19 quarantine era
Kevin Sullivan is one the greatest of alll time. Hannibal as always does a perfect interview. Best I have seen in a while. Im a big fan. Keep up the good 👍job.
No way that was over 3 hours!! Flew past. Fantastic interview. Thanks for posting this.
Hannibal your shoot interviews are the BEST going today. Well researched. Respectful (with pandering). And you allow the subjects to talk. Thankyou SO much for all the great content. God bless
Hannibal asks all the right questions, and refrains from giving 'his take'. This is history!
A lot of interviewers today lead the wrestlers by the nose. Truly irritating you can't ever hear what the wrestler had in mind.
Sullivan is a Legend. As a long time fan of the Business, without people like Sullivan,Flair,Dusty? There would be no Wrestleing boom in the 80's,no attitude Era,no mon night wars NOTHING
The way Sulivan described the India/Pakistan conflict as "heat" made me laugh so much.
Dude you scared the crap out of me when I was a kid watching you in Florida wrestling- your wars with Dusty, and Blackjack Mulligan were brilliant
Kevin Sullivan is one of the best at everything in wrestling. I cant get enough interviews with him. Can anyone tell me if he has a book. If not he needs one.
thank you for this interview. I really enjoyed hearing kevins stories. I grew up in lakeland watching NWA in his day.
I remember when The Prince Of Darkness Kevin Sullivan was wrestling in Florida.Him and Dusty Rhodes had a long feud
A wrestling mind like no other. As a kid watching him on tv his presence was intimidating and he only stood 5ft 9in and weighed around 240-250 lbs. A man truly meant to b in the wrestling business.

Not only great interviews. Hannibal treats these legends with reverence and respect. The way it should be.
He needs to be in the HOF! Ahead of his time great psychology
Yes, he should be in every Pro Wrestling HOF in this country!!!
WWe HOF is a fucking joke anyway. He's already in the Wrestling Observer HOF which even PWI recognizes as the only legit HOF in pro wrestling. Plus...no fucking celebrities
Holy shit how is Sullivan not in the wwe hof? Insane
Hannibal, brother, you are a phenomenal interviewer. Thanks for making these available for free. (These ARE supposed to be free, right?)
I'm only halfway through and this is probably my favorite shoot on the channel.
+ Hannibal, you have the best interviews. I love your videos!
Theres a difference between wrestling knowledge n wisdom and KS has both....great shoot man
Kevin Sullivan is a genius the devil gimmick was awesome I live in Florida so every Saturday we had to watch and what he's going to do next awesome stuff Kevin is one my All time favorites along with Dusty Rhodes when Mark lewin came in as the purple Haze WOW man wicked man good memories as a kid growing up

I would love to meet Kevin Sullivan and listen to all the old stories.
Love your interviews Hannibal. Just wish u could’ve asked Kevin 4 some stories about Andre.
Sullivan was the best at booking heat. Always ahead of his time.
Kevin Sullivan is the neighbor I wish i had. A great guy to go and just talk about the business and philosophy ect. Seems like a really nice guy..
I honestly can't wait for this current roster of WWE and AEW years from now do shoot interviews on way things were today (2022)
Definitely gonna get this one, always like listening to Sullivan, he's up there with HTM as one of my favorite shooters

Buzz Sawyer modelled a lot of his character towards the end on Sullivan and Rattlesnake in particular.
Meng/Haku was and is a genuinely scary person in and outside of the ring also. I should say that he was probably the best representation of the style these guys were selling.
Is it on RUclips or network?

What a shoot, learned so much background from this shoot. Kevin Sullivan, you are one of the best.
Fantastic. Hannibal is super intelligent & has the shoot interview down to a science.

Kevin getting it spot on about if a competitor with money came along that the fans would flock to that show (AEW).

Kev’s the guy who’ll have EVERYONE’s ear at the table while having dinner with friends
Crazy at the end of the interview he basically perfectly describes how AEW was developed and what it has become!
I never feel older than when I see my old Idols balding and wrinkled . I am 53 so my childhood heros are in their early 70s or late 60s . Kevin was a favorite of mine because we were both short thick guys . When I saw him wrestle I could imagine actually becoming a worker too .
You can learn a lot from Sullivan. He is a genius as a booker.
Kevin is a very savvy wrestler & a true ring psychologist. Very interesting interview.
love Kevin Sullivan great stuff thanks.
I also laugh at all the Benoit marks that think he woulda kicked Kevin’s ass. Kevin was a power lifter
Kevin is very entertaining, can tell stories very well
I liked watching Kevin late in WCW. I remember the Tree of Woe. He was short but solid.
Chad Pugh His run with Dick Slater was great!
Chad Pugh Loved that, too.
The Gaaavvinnns! ...love the accent ...wicked!
This interview and superstar Billy Graham are my favorites 👍👍👍watched them more than 1 time
Awesome to hear
Kevin is such a Class Act.
Sullivan is one of the all time greats
Great interview! Where did you get skull background?
China
Sullivan was in Memphis in 1979 & 1980 in Jimmy Hart's First Family.
Is there a way I can find that 1982 video where Kevin Sullivan Turns on Barry Windham for the florida title and then turns on Mike Graham?
Yes I really want to see that again myself
i would like to see that tooplus after he hits graham with the belt, he screams out: "YOU SHOULD'VE LISTENED TO KEIRN!!!!!"
It's on Disc 1 on a Best of Barry Windham 20 Volume set I believe, and the person you need to contact on Ebay has the username iamwoody25256. I haven't ordered the set yet, but probabl will at some point.
You need to make a video of Meng stories.

I remember reading this in PWI. ..this where Kevin Sullivan good side was fighting his dark side ...it read like it was really well done 👍
Thanks for answering a question I've had forever, I always wondered why Barry Windham never held the World Title. Now I know it was Dusty.
I would agree Hogan took a lot from "Superstar" Billy Graham but also Austin Idol he took the flexing his muscles and calling his arms pythons and Idol also used the term Idolmania which Hulk copied calling it Hulkamania and ran with it. This was a highly interesting interview from one of the best bookers in the business Kevin Sullivan. "Dr. Death" Steve Williams was a great part of The Varsity Club, also
WestWick88 Yes, Sullivan is smart. Who cares if some don't like The Dungeon type stuff....i'm sick of seeing hhh's face but is he gonna be nice enough to take himself off of tv???? Heck no, he believes everyone WANTS to see his ____ face.
You could have asked Sullivan to brush the coke off his polo shirt Hannibal lol
Would kill to see his Devil Gimmick in Florida. ..he was also great in the Varsity Club
This shows that my Point proven about satanism. Don't be controlled.
What is your favorite Kevin's rival? I remember him against Bob Roop in several runs.
I liked the early 80's matches that had Kevin going against Steve Keirn that also had Steve O and Bobby Eaton going after the Georgia TV TITLE.
I must say, that a Kevin Sulivan interview needs to have a certain pace to it, to allow the storytelling to unwind, and i think Hannibal gets it just right. BTW I would really like another Scott Steiner interview, that focuses a bit more on the weight lifting side of things.

just Love the wallpaper...where can I get some?
It’s under: Kevin Sullivan looses it!!! Each week it got funnier and funnier.
I hope that you will overcome the scary Corona 19 and that your channel will develop more and more every day, and it will be a huge success. Thank you for making and showing your wonderful and valuable video.
That was great.
The real genius in wrestling
Kevin Sullivan basically predicted what AEW seems to be doing talking about what a new promotion needs to do to be successful
Cringe. They’ve had one fucking show. One good match. People act like it’s the number one rated show already I hate wwe these fays so I hope
It does well but let’s wait before we call it successful for crying out loud
--------------------------45:00. 55:28 good story. 1:38:00 feud with Dusty Rhoads. 1:41:00 WWE/ Cody Rhoads
would love to see a booking interview with sully on what if they did not do the nwo. instead, building hall and nash up to be us and world champ in a years time from 96-97.
Damn Hannibal, you just can't resist stabbing at Kevin Owens. I expect a match between you two down the line, you gotta back this up :-D
If it's MMA sure.
Devon thanks for all the great interviews. It is a shame you have never had another shot at WWE after the Abby bullshit.
pretty thoughtful guy
Same Kevin Sullivan from Lexington,MA?? East Lexington w/the Donohues etc.
I love Kevin Sullivan
Glorious
Bob Backlund & Steve Keirn / The Original Trading Places plot point ( Eddie Murphy - Dan Ackroyd ) The fortunes of many with a small money bet driving the followthrough.
lemme guess - there's gonna be a comment about Kevin Owens' shorts & t-shirts
(...yep. I was right)
