Love this Chanel, about this local Vanuatu laplap 🌺, i would like to share my site of story ,that i know from,..just a brief history about this delicious local food...I'm from shefa province, I'm married to a man from north east malekula Island 🏝 where this Delicious😋 Royal feast, come from,... and know by the name" SOSOR" in many part inside malekula, it symbolizes, Royal feast...laplap sosor, his not just a Royal feast! It has is owned story n terms, that related to all natives ,also has a hidden mystery on it ,that has a significant brides ,in the people of malekula where they ancestors come from!! The Fire 🔥 Volcano🌋, the only laplap in Vanuatu 🇻🇺 that looks a like the Volcano🌋❓️🤔❓️🧐❓️.....I've learned to my husband that!! this is not just a food, it's a kastom food, it related to all moral teaching of their culture inside the village! n outside ,....this laplap! ... it has a lots of rules , and a strictly discipline in it, n selected people on how to prepare it! Until! Who ? to serve it ??on Who to first tasted also!! .....but, today people lost most of those discipline, trough the impact of this modern civilization !!....but no matter what!! It's a Royal time!! time to eat! We live to eat!... So Enjoy your laplap sosor 👌
i know right? wheb i fist came here, i was surprised of its amzing culture wether their food, clothing and etc… but the discipline here is superb and they pay huge respect as well… so i love Vanuatu so much
Ahh Kuya,instead of saying cover with banana leaves you said coconut leaves.Im Png and I lived in Lingayen and Subic for the last 10 years.I did my Pilot training there.I just left Philippines laster September,2021.I met my bf from vanuatu in the Philippines.He was studying in University of Cavite

use island cabbage or broccoli .. you can use mixed meats like beef chicken or fish .... banana is best with fish ... use some half ripe bananas
