Love this Chanel, about this local Vanuatu laplap 🌺, i would like to share my site of story ,that i know from,..just a brief history about this delicious local food...I'm from shefa province, I'm married to a man from north east malekula Island 🏝 where this Delicious😋 Royal feast, come from,... and know by the name" SOSOR" in many part inside malekula, it symbolizes, Royal feast...laplap sosor, his not just a Royal feast! It has is owned story n terms, that related to all natives ,also has a hidden mystery on it ,that has a significant brides ,in the people of malekula where they ancestors come from!! The Fire 🔥 Volcano🌋, the only laplap in Vanuatu 🇻🇺 that looks a like the Volcano🌋❓️🤔❓️🧐❓️.....I've learned to my husband that!! this is not just a food, it's a kastom food, it related to all moral teaching of their culture inside the village! n outside ,....this laplap! ... it has a lots of rules , and a strictly discipline in it, n selected people on how to prepare it! Until! Who ? to serve it ??on Who to first tasted also!! .....but, today people lost most of those discipline, trough the impact of this modern civilization !!....but no matter what!! It's a Royal time!! time to eat! We live to eat!... So Enjoy your laplap sosor 👌

use island cabbage or broccoli .. you can use mixed meats like beef chicken or fish .... banana is best with fish ... use some half ripe bananas

Well, I really appreciate the effort that goes into preparing this dish however I'd rather grill then chicken instead of steaming it.
