Abortion is healthcare and is between a doctor and the patient not a government.
This guy doesn't get that there is no reason to have an abortion ban at any number of weeks. Even where there is no law, doctors only perform later abortions when there is a crisis. No one wants to be pregnant longer than necessary, if they are not planning to keep the baby, and the procedure becomes more medically complicated as time goes on. These discussions are so irritating.
Right, less than 5% of abortions take place after the first trimester, and most later abortions are because of pregnancy issues.

Why does IVF have to be codified? It's a medical procedure, do other medical procedures also need to be codified, Why is the public asked to weigh in on abortion. That conversation doesn't belong outside the office of a Dr and a patient. Don't like late term abortion???, how many women decide they want an abortion that late in the game. The ONLY women who require late term abortions are those who experience dire consequences. Again, another topic best kept between a Dr and their patient.

Skirting the question about abortion after birth shows you what all republicans on congress really think. Until that point I thought he had a pretty good take on it. He lost all credibility when he couldnt xriticize others pn a clear falsehood.
It is promise not support an abortion ban, when they actual plan is to change the definition of 'personhood' to start at 'conception' which then make it unconstitutional.
Why make a 'law' when you can just change a definition that takes your rights away. (BTW, this also takes care of making IVF illegal, 2 birds one stone)
