You all are awesome! Please keep up the great work! I love having a reliable way to play these old games and y'alls work really contributes to preservation efforts! Thank you so much!!!
This is amazing. I honestly never thought this feature would get implemented. Kudos to the dolphin team for doing such a wonderful job The only thing that could make it better is if you could have this running across the internet too. Then you could play 4 swords with friends whilst you’re quarantining
Look up a program called Parsec. It lets you stream your PC to your friends and let's them play with you using their own controllers. With okay internet connection the lag is almost zero, I highly recommend it!
Finally, after all these years, FFCC is getting the support it deserves! The HD release is nice, but the lack of couch co-op (among many other things) makes the original still worthy to look at. Thank you so much!
This is something I’ve wanted for so long. Navi’s trackers were really annoying with VBA-M especially if you set it up with multiple players. Thanks a lot!!
@@theacematt2 No, that's quite literally impossible. You must have been using VBA-M, which is much older and which has been able to connect with Dolphin for much longer. VBA-M connectivity isn't the feature being advertised here, though. mGBA connectivity is.
I hope that, once local multiplayer gets more mature, you guys can start working on Ds connectivity as well, and we all know what's the best emulator for the job. And if someone comes around this comment just to mock Aritosura: endrift (mGBA developer) is also trans. Just deal with it.
I used to successfully connected VBA-m when playing Mario Golf Advance Tour to Toadstool Tour back in 2011. This time I failed even if I changed VBA to mGBA. Dolphin keeps using its own GBA2 emu instead of linking to VBA/mGVA and I have no idea where its GBA save location as I attempt to transfer my save from VBA emu.
For some reason, when I hit connect on the "Connect to Dolphin" menu, nothing happens. I have all the ports in Dolphin as "GBA", The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures is playing, and I'm not sure if I'm missing something. I have Dolphin updated to the lastest version too.
After several tries I could successfully connect Dolphin to mGBA and I traded some of my Pokémon from Colosseum to LeafGreen I request Dolphin & mGBA to look into the connectivity issue and make the connection between the two emulators more stable
So where is GBA2 save location? I copied my GBA save from VisualBoyAdvance under "Saved folder" inside GBA folder under Dolphin Emulator folder BUT GBA2 still won't read the save and start the gams from stratch.
Er, guys, GBA connectivity in Dolphin isn't new. I see a lot of people who seem to think that it is, but it isn't. What is new is that it is now compatible with one more GBA emulator.
Ah yes, Nintendo and their obsession with players having to multitask with multiple screens way before the Wii U. But another important step to get the full Gamecube experience for sure.
So if you wanted to play with others using this, how would you be able to make it so they can see those gba screens and not just the main display? This is speaking if you were to use something like Parsec or Dolphin's Netplay with others.
Graphics plugins have traditionally been the weak point. GlideN64 has been around for years, and it's significantly more accurate than anything project64 includes by default. It also has tons of enhancements. Angrylion has also been around for years, and it's extremely accurate. The problem is that it needs an extremely fast CPU and it only runs at original resolution. ParaLLEl (mupen64plus-next) is more recent, but it's practically GPU angrylion that's fast and allows HD.
Not to be a huge prick, but there is a huge problem that needs to be addresded. After entering full screen mode in mgba, it is literally stuck there, PERMANENTLY. Even after closing the app. Any attempts to minimize it results in it not working at all, and after restarting it is full screen again, with absolutely no way out. Please find a way to fix that.
Could somebody please *show me* how this works, I’m legit so confused, I could care less about how dumb I’m being, not knowing how to do it, but I really gotta know how to do this, please, anyone. I just gotta play Korbo with my friends :(((
It may not be necessary. I had a heck of a time trying to connect dolphin to VBA-m. Then, I downloaded mGBA, and it was far easier. Because of this, I have been able to import Chao saves from Steam. It's because Steam doesn't have direct access to the TCG. Also, the mGBA saves can be taken to and from actual cartridges. Steam save (SA2B) SASaveUtility(SA2B) (Convert from Steam save to GCI save) -Dolphin save(SA2b) -- Connects to --+ mGBA I tried the combo pack rom, and the emulator doesn't seem to pick up Chao from it.
Absolutely incredible thank you! With a Ryzen CPU and a GTX 3080, is running Crystal chronicles with 4 players at a stable full frame rate feasible yet? Or is there still some way to go on that front?
As someone who's wanted to play FFCC without using my real GBA and Wii... from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much Dolphin devs!
this is peak emulation
Not only Dolphin, but also mGBA, are blessings!
Absolutely amazing job from the Dolphin community once again
This alone is better than any Nintendo Direct
thanks to these people, we are able to play such things! woohoo
dk about that

Dolphin: The best emulator in the world
This is what we love to see. Dolphin is my favorite emulator for a reason. Never change guys
Tiny chao garden here I come

True gold over here, a blessing from the devs!!!
Glad to see this officially noted, 8-10yrs later 😅
Wait. mGBA was already supported a while ago? Or am I reading this wrong?
@@90sNath I had it working by setting the IP address in the program *at least* that long ago.

@Xeraser ti piacerebbe :P
Btw ping me when someone wants to talk about emulation
How about kirby and the amazing mirror multiplayer compatibility?
You can still do it with mGBA by itself
OMG. Can't wait to get Android PC linkin and then play some serious Crystal Chronicles with my friends.
So thankful for this after the CC remake took out local multiplayer. The emulated version with this update is just straight up better!

You might be missing the GBA bios. It's not required for most GBA games on mGBA, but is required to make the connectivity to Dolphin work.
I'ts even worse for me. I'm getting the message "could not connect to dolphin" after that. What the hell am I missing?
cool thanks guys love the dedication of this team

could you guys make it possible to configure each game's controls and graphics like rpcs3?
@Xeraser he means simplified via the GUI
WOW they finally did it, amazing!
This doesn’t work for me. When I hit connect nothing happens.
Okay I put the BIOS folder in mGBA but it still doesn’t work. It just goes white.

Will it be possible to connect a real game boy advance to one of the game cube's control adapter ports and what dolphin recognizes it?
Ah yes, Nintendo and their obsession with players having to multitask with multiple screens way before the Wii U. But another important step to get the full Gamecube experience for sure.
The WiiU or the whole DS family for that matter!
Has someone been able to do this on steam deck? I've been trying to play FFCC on the deck using mgba and dolphin but it's not working:/ please help!
What a HUUGE improvement. I always wanted to play Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Four Swords at 4 players. i'm so excited now!
Now I can seek for Tingle statues in Wind Waker... But how I import GC memory card files to emulator? 🤔
When the version 6.0 from dolphin will launch???
im trying to play 4 swords with a friend but its not detecting my controller
and its very annoying
I don't know how to get it to work
This is insane, it's like the predecessor to the WiiU. 1:28 check the gameboy saying "look at the TV"
Actually it literally is the predecessor to the WiiU
I am having issues setting it up. Is there a good tutorial for this?
EDIT: Nvm I got it. Problem was I was missing the gba bios.
Can I have a gba screen on 1 monitor and then another on a 2nd monitor without showing both gba screens
Please add custom texture option for GameCube gaming because wrestlemania 19 created wrestler are invisible in game

It’s actually in the Japanese version of Four Swords Adventures.

We still need a decent N64 emulator and so we can finally ditch Project64.
the only reason I still have VBA is that I know how to record raw footage in it
if you can find me that feature in mGBA
