    Great video! And a great training exercise to get first responders familiar with using Sherp!

    Besides being in the woods for no apparent reason how did the sheep work better then a Rescue? It seems smaller, less room to work, and can only hold one patient where as if you really had to in a rescue you could take two maybe three.

      And slower.
      I do understand this being used in swampy areas though like Florida Everglades but not even in rural EMS other wise. It's too bulky to get through dense trees.

      it's retarded, the firetrucks were able to get there using paved roads, the sherp has no place there
      flood and swap areas sure, but next to a paved road is absolutely retarded

      You are correct that this isn't what the SHERP is designed for. But this was a training exercise. You have to train with equipment so including specific and unique equipment makes sense.

    So 125 thou for something you could do with a pickup. Maybe suited better for water rescue. Or a plane crash in a swamp.

      You are totally right! It will be more suitable in situation of nature disaster like flood, harricane, or rescue anybody from water. Or speshial cases - swamp, forest and so on, where heli could not land. For this situation need a special trailer truck or picup with SHERP for fast deployment and reach rescue area. Then SHERP makes that it can do better then other)

      Yes it would fit better in a Nature disaster. But you can't really train on one, so you need to implement this equipment in other Trainings, like this one

      @@truckertj2109 Yes, it's obviosly. You are right. Thanks

      True. But the SHERP can go all terrain. Not a truck.

    So why did they did a Sherp on dry pavement? I think somebody wanted a new toy..

    This is one of the most poitless rescue tools I have ever seen. Useless unless you are literally rescuing in a swamp. Yes, expedite to the hospital at 10 mph. The best is they used it on the roads😂😂😂

    • @jacobezell5198
      @jacobezell5198 3 года назад

      Not pointless but definitely not useful in that situation. In places where you can't get a regular vehicle in it could be a live saver for transport to main roads or an LZ

      как я понимаю доставить пострадавшего из труднодоступно места до места где может приземлится вертолет.
