As an artist, we never see our art the same way as others do. Most artists are never really satisfied, for example everytime i finish a piece i tell myself "you can do better" and end up never liking my art. Ofc there are exceptions, when people fish for compliments, but it's oftenly genuine.
To be fair, when I draw something I scrutinize it heavily. Whereas the people around me go 'yea, nice drawing'. Comparing artists to some guy who knows he is hot, ripped and confident, but pretends not to be. Not the best comparison.
