It's kind of weird that I just spent 42 minutes watching people talk about tomatoes. Nah! It was awesome! Love it! Thanks for all the effort you put into your videos!
Thanks to Carrie for joining you and Dave. It's always a pleasure to have Dave sharing his opinions. I'm always grateful to you Mark for taking the time to share these videos about the produce you have in your garden. I try planting beefsteak but it didn't work, the bugs crop them down before they had a chance to stretch up, not sure how the beefsteak would taste. Just a variety that came in my seed kit. Lovely variety
Awesome tasting! My head is spinning with what tomatoes I want to plant next season. This was great! Thanks again Mark. Stephen Ps. Virginia Sweets is a definite!
This is one of those videos I never knew that I needed, but I’m so happy it exists. Thank you for this style of video! I now have a wide selection of tomatoes I can plant.
What would you think of a cooking segment of some of your fresh produce? Nothing extravagant but how to incorporate what you have grown into a fresh & delicious meal?
It’s going to take me 10 seasons to grow all the varieties I have on my list! I’m here for moral support now lol. Good to see Dave and Carrie too! Saved this video for future reference 🤓 Thank you so much, Mark, for making this series! Many blessings to you all. 🙌🏻🙏🏻💞
Wow! Brought back memories of having a large garden, canning, making elderberry + gooseberry + currant jams. canning plums, pears, tomatoes, making sauerkraut in the fall, making mincemeat out of the green tomatoes after the frost, trading picking apples for 20 bushels of apples. Having a fruit cellar filled with apples, green tomatoes, potatoes, carrots etc. for the wintertime. We just preferred eating our stuff because nothing tasted better.
Hi Bob! It sounds like your family kept really busy! To tell you the truth, it may be a little healthier growing it yourself too. I don't think most people today are familiar with how hard people used to work to keep food on their table. I appreciate your support and I really enjoyed your comments. All my very best, -Mark
Wow, love learning of new varieties! I'm definitely planting a Curtis Cheek next year, since my last name is Curtis! Lol I planted a celebrity and a cherry this year, not disappointed at all! Great video Mark, thank you!
Another great tasting video. I’ll be looking for Virginia sweets and Curtis cheek as well as the 1923 Abe Lincoln next year. Thanks for all the great info.
Mark absolutely love these tomato tasting videos. Homegrown tomatoes are what summer is about. You have described several that I must try for next year. Are these varieties sold at your nursery or did you order most from seed catalogs? I noticed your number of subscribers is now nearly 10,000- congratulations!!
I just discovered your videos yesterday Mark...really pleased I did. I’ve already been binging on them. Chockablock full of great information...and your really cute.
I'm so glad you decided to do the tastings with your friends (can I take a little credit here?😄) . It really helps hearing different opinions and in trying to decide what to order for next year.
great video every one!, the back row was just beautiful ...yeah i would like to see a ring of mixed colors on a plate...you know like your 4 or 5 favorites mixed....beautiful casual/country presentation Mark....
The Curtis Cheek tomato is AMAZING. And the story of the tomato is so damn neat. Love that more people like it! Green tomatoes kick butt. Aunt Ruby Green and Cherokee Green are delicious. I tried the Isis Candy again...spit it out. Hubby loves it so a palate thing. Dinner tomorrow is BLT using the first Hillbilly tomato harvested today. It's a fat stunner, so excited. LOVED this video! I will def be ordering seeds for Virginia Sweets (if I can find them) and the Ananas Noir. Thanks again!

Love your bread knife for tomatoes! There's a couple "tomato knives" available online. I have the cheap Rada tomato knife. It's about $7 for one but works amazing. It's probably not a good video knife tho because its' so small. But Wusthof makes two different tomato knives (one is the pro line and is the regular knives). Those look pretty cool!
Mark! This is the one I was waiting for. I have never grown anything but true red tomatoes. After this video, I’ll be placing orders for more of the bi-color varieties. That “Ananas Noire” looked so good! Awesome job!👊🏾😁
