She is definitely a singer whereas some people are performers. In other words their singing is adequate. Also let’s not leave out Jennifer Hudson, Ledisi, Lisa Fisher, the late Phyliss Hyman, Anita Baker, Bunny DeBarge,Angela Bofill, Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Gladys knight, my sorority sister Patty Labelle and the list goes on. All of these women can “sang” on their own. No help needed in my opinion.

I have watched this clip multiple times and I honestly believe Fantasia really didnt see Beyonce standing there. After having been through my fair share of leeches in my own life, I have started taking a step back quietly and graciously just like Beyoncé. One gets drained to the point where there's nothing left to give and one can only slip into self-preservation mode because people have proven that they wouldn't even help fill your cup once they have emptied it. Instead, they would deplete you and turn on you afterwards. Someone reminded my non-religious self of a verse that says something like 'don't cast your pearls to the pigs because they will trample on them and turn on you.' Beyoncé had identified the 'pigs' in her world and she treats them accordingly.
Look what happened to Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. I love that she continues to be gracious to people personally but gives nothing to these vultures. Good on her! Fantasia was great by the way ❤

Friends, it appears some of you are really missing the point Graeme is making in this video. He is NOT not comparing Beyoncé and Fantasia. He sees social media commenting on this awkward moment, and coming to the wrong conclusions. so he is offering his professional insight to help shed some light. He understands what is really going on because his decade of experience in TV and camera positioning. He is telling us the Grammys tried really hard to force Beyoncé to be their dancing monkey, even after she said turned down the performance. I think people are missing the point of the video. It doesn’t take away from Fantasia’s talent but the Grammy’s always want to profit from Beyoncé’s stardom and allure but don’t respect her and award her properly. After being constantly snubbed for the main awards and given consolation prizes and expected to be happy, she’s done. She hasn’t performed for the Grammys in almost a decade and probably won’t in the future and the Grammys need to stop trying to pull one over her and the audience.

Interesting he said that. But speaks volumes and really exposes the weight of what was being said in this video. I guess Beyoncé is bitter with all she does to help the Grammy’s promote their show but the promotion isn’t reciprocated in terms of Grammy awards to her.

I think the blogger is trying to debunk the lie that Beyoncé was shunning Fantasia. This was not about that. Not apart of the Beyhive or Beehive (?). When I saw Beyoncé hold her head down I immediately thought it was because she wanted Fantasia to have her moment. I watched Kobe’s funeral and saw all the times Beyoncé was on the camera. I saw all the comments about Beyoncé after the funeral. I appreciated Beyoncé so much for this.

Not obsessed with Beyonce, but I am a fan and it’s soooo sad that even when she stands up for herself she gets hate! Her wanting to not give them anymore had nothing to do with Fantasia! Fantasia CARRIES always, she is an icon as well! It’s the point they give who they want what they want, not what the mass supports! I bet if your job never gave you a raise for all the hard work you put in and you got hate for standing up for yourself, it would be a different tune! Fantasia and Beyoncé are two powerful black women in the music industry, I didn’t even know Beyoncé was on that clip. It was wayyyyy after the fact that I found out Beyoncé was under that cowboy hat. Fantasia did a beautiful job and I hope that if there was any beef, that Beyoncé and Fantasia will fix that!
