The reception was held at the Washington Roebling house, after the events at the Brooklyn Bridge, on May 24, 1883. HBO recreated it with attendance by President Chester Arthur, and the Mayors of NYC and Brooklyn. The President was played by Randall Passmann, and actor and Professional Civil Engineer, who, like the 21st President, also graduated from Union College in Schenectady, NY.
Coming out for the Brooklyn Bridge everybody dressed in their best for the party.

Peggy is fine example how to bring diversity in historical show without changing the facts. Creators could have ignored black people completely and focus only on rich white people in Manhattan. Instead they added another side of the coin and handled serious topics like racism very well. There were dark moments but it never got too miserable. Peggy is also very nicely written character and great rolemodel for anyone. 🥰
