Saw the film earlier , and loved it! Kingsley did a great job. Some people may criticise the authenticity of his accent, but personally I felt his accent was a great balance of the accent and doing it in such a way that the message of Bob could be heard and understood by people outside of Jamaica. Well done all involved.
Great interview. Kingsley BEN- ADI, what a great guy. To portray the legend Bob Marley speaks volume. I tip my hat to him, it’s not an easy task, but you mastered it, great job. Bob work ethic was unmeasured, so was yours , it took dedication an hard work to bring this masterpiece to life. Much success to you an this movie. “ One Love”❤
I was on the fence about seeing the film for the simple reason they describe in the interview, I think I know a bit about Bob. But wow, Kingsley's sheer passion for this film has won me over, you can tell this film will be special and I want to be there to see it in a cinema. I hope this guy gets his flowers in the same way as Rami Malek and Taron Edgerton has, it really seems like Biopics are the way hollywood should be going. The story of someone like Bob's life is going to be far more interesting than 95% of original stuff hollywood can make nowadays.
I saw the Jamaica premier and they all did a great job.why are we jamaican so negative and hater.great job zizzy.your parents are great contributions to the Jamaica reggae universe ❤
Very very good interview. The interviewer was spot on with his questions and intrespective. He really brought out how Kingsley managed to interpret Bobs Spirit
Took r lass to see one love this guy is bob the way he spoke acted the works wow was in tears at certain parts i share same birthday as bob 6th feb he played bob to perfection adidas addict
Robert Nesta Marley was a Prophet. Listen to the words of songs he wrote. I grew up with his s music with the Wailers and himself in Jamaica. I saw him in concert in my town in 1972. I will forever love him. ❤️ 💔🙏🏿
Im a fan since im a child. I was born 6 years after he passed and i feel i knew all of these things about him just through his messages and his music. He was deep, he was playful, he was sirious and he had strong values and views of deep wisdom. Real fans know this because he put his soul in his music. Bob was my best friend in hard times and i chanted his songs as a mantra to get me through dark moments at times and i felt he got me because in my vulnerability i found the human he was trough his music and i resonate with his struggle based on my experience . How beutiful is that...we are all human and we are all connected somehow. Im also a triple aquarious and i share his rebel and humanitarian side to the core. He could have been my best friend easily 😂
10:34 bob music was so excellent and committed because he foresaw his death. He knew he would die young. He told his mother that he would die like the Christ, meaning around his thirties. Jesus at 33, bob at 36. That why he was in that vibration and tapped into a higher source-thats where all the inspiration comes from. Sheer power. His music is even more powerful today, resonating with everyone, everywhere! One L❤ve!
He cooks well there is another side that lots of people do not know about like when he used to sing for children at Little Bay All-Age School in Westmoreland.
Great interview Sir..and we are eagerly awaiting for this movie to be released. Big respect, and bountiful blessings in all your life's journeys and endeavours. Here's to One Love 🦁 ❤ 💐 💐 Legend Bob Marley
I was so moved by the ending of the film. Why do I have to struggle? It really made me aware of the history of that time politically. I was not conscious of his life experience.
He was a prophet just a special person a dis-jockey here Barry G use to find a song for every thing that happens or ant disaster in the world he had write a song that matches that.
Naturally It would of been more authentic if an actor born and raised in Jamaica played him but I Mon just Givethanks that the Marley’s atleast chose a Blackman atleast to play the Ras
I wonder if the put in the movie when he kicked Chris Blackwell in his butt😂. It was a guy that was there at the time with both of them said it in an interview with one Dr Semaj it was in the 90s I heard it.
Chris Blackwell & bob relationship was complex It's like #some ppl are roots Some ppl are branches Some are leaves???? What was black well * he open doors
Bob would not approve. I've heard no mention of RASTAFARI in this interview yet Bob preached RASTAFARI as his mission n, purpose and inspiration for his music in almost all his interviews.😢 is this the same message ? Spirit ? Universe? Music? Football? Ok get that but Did they tell you not to use Rasta in your interviews while representing this iconic #RASTAMAN
I appreciate everything this actor went through to make this movie. I just don't think he was right for the part because he doesn't resemble a jamaican. I saw the trailer and felt sad because he's not quite right for it. I saw Bob Marley in concert at maple leaf gardens in Toronto years ago. I'm not sure I like this version of Hollywood's movie of Bob.
He does not look like Bob Marley, but the actress who plays Rita Marley looks nothing like her. What were the producers thinking when they cast these two leading actors? I plan to see the movie when it's released in the States. I hope it's successful

Seeco Patterson was percussion for the wailers , also my cuz So stfu
They probably should have asked you. I have a feeling you are a great actor. A clone of Marley, in looks, voice and attitude. Those who do not possess abilities and skills are always quick to criticize. SMH.
Ahhh Kingsley, you’re beautiful mate. God bless you
Kingsley did a phenomenal job and truly embodied Bob Marley's essence/spirit. Bravo, Kingsley!!!❤👏👏👏👏

Because it history about Jamaican artist from Jamaica with maybe 2 Jamaicans in it
So Jamaica has no actors and the money from movie help Jamaica 😮

I saw the movie and the patwah was on point. The Rasta culture was heavily shown in the movie.

Trench Town isn’t dangerous anymore. Other areas took over that.
Is there an Orange St. in Trench Town?
no. orange street is another street downtown. Known for a ton of record shops. think that's a mistake

However, the actor seemed very invested.

As a Jamaican I don’t know why they never use one of his sons or one his grandsons although he did an alright job the little part I saw.
That's why it is an American production. Not Jamaican.
Enjoy n understand
His own son was one of the producer. Don't you think he would know best?
@@cammo7540 no I don’t think so
They were not actors . And one thing, it's a movie not a documentary.
Hopefully the accents are right because other movies based on Jamaicans have been horrible
But if it won’t be subtitled, then non-Jamaican patois speakers need to be able to understand it. So the patois can’t be the “real patois.”
London patois is a whole fing you know a that mi fink
