i know im still very young, only 18, but i feel like i have no knowledge of anything about being in a relationship. i have a lot of people in my life that are dating but i just feel left out(?) i dont have any guy friends and i guess im not really interested in dating yet. i just feel like these days kids younger than me are in serious relationships and i feel like im late(?) its so hard to explain but can anybody relate?
i relate to this feeling even though i was in one serious relationship before. also 18 now and looking around there are people planning their futures together or already seemingly emotionally grounded for a long while. i dated someone i was friends with for a long time (friends for 4+ years) and ill be real honest, it is not as glamorous as a lot of first relationships are made out to be. we were still growing into ourselves and unsure about our own identity that there wasnt a great foundation to learn about another person when u didnt really know yrself, yknow? There's so much ahead of you and the universe will find its way to bring people into your life so take the time to just experience you ☺️

I'm 24 and I totally feel left out haha. I've never dated seriously, only 2 boyfriends ever, most of my guy friends end up being cancelled because if i turn them down things get weird and its so annoying. All of my friends are in relationships and i feel totally left behind in that whole spectrum.

i am in a long relationship with someone i met on tinder. its both of our first really serious relationship and its going great BUT why is it whenever someone asks how we met I sort of sink in my seat and say"...online..." I HATE IT!! hes the best and yet I cant get over this dumb detail!! what is with the stigma??!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?

I met my husband on OKCupid and I totally felt the same way (and still feel it sometime) for a long time because he was the first person I had a serious relationship with online. It was especially hard telling my parents because they’re Asian (they were fine with it just like huh...). I mean we met and got married in under 2 years so it’s just been crazy all around but I’ve never been happier and more comfortable with a person in my life. The feeling goes away eventually as long as you remind yourself that what you have is the best yet, as you said, and that that is what’s more important than this stigma. Had it not been for the app you wouldn’t have met this guy! And from my experience in telling how I met my partner to a bunch of people, there’s been way more people than I expected who’ve online dated successfully or who knows someone who’s dated online successfully. I also got my best friend to try OKC and she met her bf (def long term and will very likely get married) there so 🤷🏻♀️ all in all, own your relationship and I’m so happy that you’re happy!

I met my current boyfriend on Tinder over a year ago and I'm head over heels in love with him (and him with me)!! He didn't like to tell people how we met at first but tbh I'm not afraid to tell people how we met. I was on Tinder a while before I met him and it just shows others that yes 9/10 guys on Tinder aren't worth your time but it is possible to find someone worth it!! I guess people think relationships that form online can't be as genuine as ones people form in real life ??

Apparently, the same guys that are on Tinder are also on Bumble and Hinge. Doesn't take much to set up an account. Also, most guys who are online dating are guilty of "one-uping" meaning it's hard for them to take one girl seriously when another hotter girl will give them the time of day. Hence, none of them are ready to commit until they're 50, if anything. Why should they commit to anyone when so many girls are willing to put out so easily? Modern-age dating doesn't favour women.
