I've heard them called a few things such as bumpers, silencers, or crash pads. These ones come stock on mudai and Mother, and I've seen em on negotiators (and other brands) before. The main purpose on this particular bait is to protect each side of the joint. Because the bait is so hefty, the impact of the joint halfs can cause chipping, denting, and other damage, which can lead to exposed wood and water intrusion... the other purposes of these can be noise reduction, and they can also be used to tighten the joint gap which can change the glide action of the bait.
I always liked the mudai over the other roman glides just because of the profile and glide the S-quad is pretty much mini version but in a 3pc that bait works so well I need to get the new wood model with removable lip.
This is a great design for anglers who want a deeper, fatter profile. Thank you. In case you're looking for review ideas, I don't THINK you've done the very affordable, 7.5" Baitsanity Antidote Glide Bait. Just a thought . . . Please keep up the extraordinarily valuable work! Chris (in Maine)

We need more man love these vids. I don’t even know what to suggest, a lot of baits to try and you’re the only guy doing it!
What are those Clear strips in between the bait
