It must be really hard for this guy to try his luck at a singing competition after being on a show with three pop legends and an award winning actor. Kudos to him for having the courage to do it.

Also for the record, I have met Christina, a few times, as a close friend of mine works in the industry. Every time I have met her, no matter what the situation, she has always been super sweet and kind to me and others around us. I have been on those stages, the lights are so bright you can;t see anyone. Regardless what happened here, none of us have the place to judge her or anyone else. The fact is, unless you were in her or his heads at that moment no one knows the facts.
@Lucien as an international artist she has meet a lot of people. How could anyone ever remember their childhood friends full name?

Plus the guy was wearing a hat hiding half his face, so it adds an extra difficulty to recognizing someone.

@michellesupport89 if a classmate I didn't see for 15 years appeared in front of me for jsut some minutes, there'd be a great chance i didn't recognize him if he didn't say anything. but if i was in a school reunion I would easily recognize him because I would be making efforts to recognize people. Two completely different situations.
this is old af but I literally couldn’t recognize someone like who I didn’t see for 2 years ISN’T THAT CRAZY ?! like puberty changed him SO much I couldn’t even recognize his voice. he was literally so much taller & got really thin, that was only 2 years !! I don’t blame her honestly

pretty sure she didn't. they told her after and obviously edited it to look like she knew. nothing wrong with that though, I wouldn't recognise most of the people I knew from that age

OMG I love Tony! I met him back in 2002 when he opened for Nsync. This video of him is amazing....but hearing him live gave me chills. It's sad that this video does not give his voice justice. It is 10 times more powerful in person.

@Wynbis she's prob, met thousands of fans whose name are Tony. She didn't expect an old MMC buddy there at all..it went over her head until he smiled at a closer distance.
You can almost see in Christina's face that there is some recognition, but she isn't 100% sure....
one of these days i hope that i have a reunion like that with one of my fellow childhood classmates/teammates/whatever. it was a nice moment.
AHH Tony Lucca is BACK on TV! I missed seeing him! He was so cute on MMC, Emerald Cove and I remember he stood out. He had a beautiful voice and still does. Go Tony!

oh, Dude! I totally loved this guy on the Mickey Mouse Club!! Tony was no doubt my favourite and was the star of that show back in the day. I always wondered how he never made it big along with all the rest of the MMC kids that have since shot to fame. I'm sooooo excited to see this guy get his due props. Way to go Tony!!!

I agree with LeandroCardim...these are two completely different situations. She had no idea that the person on the stage was someone she knew like 20 years ago. At a class reunion, you know going into it that you will be seeing people from your past, so you are trying to recognize people.

@MeowcatBissy Yeah but he is a big independent artist. He has released 9 albums and has done a lot of touring so he has done really well in the indie music area.

@TheIre27 I totally agree. Even if you used to see some people all the time but for one reason or another lost touch over the years, it's not surprising that you wouldn't remember who they are. I'm sure she had a light bulb moment in her head at some point, then it all came back to her. How predictable that haters would use this against Christina, but whatever! I think yes, she was kind of mean a few years back, but I think she's matured and way beyond that now!
I'm so happy he picked Adam! He has such an amazing and powerful voice. I wouldn't be surprised if he won! :D

They worked together for like 8 months when they were 14. I could see her not getting it right away. Plus, they were in the middle of filming a show. In most cases, when I run into someone I have seen in a long time, I'm hesitant to say anything either because there's chance you could be mistaken. Also, there's the most obvious fact...if she said something right away, that could've effected his decision.
@chocolateapple It's an opinion. I just feel an experience like MMC for the time she was on it was big enough to recall the people you worked with. It wasn't like just someone random she met once. Didn't expect her to recognize his voice as it's matured but he looks the same and his name is the same. That's all.

@PHIFan20 They were probably either picked from submitted videos or auditions that just weren't televised. That's how it's been done since before American Idol.

How about a comment on Tony Lucca?! @luccadoes is an amazing singer/songwriter. The hubs & I have been following his music here on RUclips and beyond for several years now. And the fact that he sang Ray LaMontagne's trouble with such confidence was just so...no words! I've already been a fan & have become that much more!
(Continued) They started sending me comments on my channel when I could not understand a comment they made on a soap opera video! I very nicely asked them to explain what they meant and they went off on me for no reason.
Ever since then they have been calling me a bully and making extremely rude comments on my channel. I try to reason with them and make them stop but that is impossible so now I look like a bully when it is actually them and that is the way they want it.
