Thank you for opening up and being so transparent with your viewers! I know I only know you through a screen and you have no idea who I am, but I am so relieved to hear that you are still sticking through it with God and that your faith is still there. I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been and how challenging it was to not blame God and turn away, but you sticking through is such a testimony and I’m so encouraged by you! Praying loads of blessings on you and your family🤍
I have always struggled with my faith growing up as a Christian. Your words were super encouraging and reminded me why I’m going through what I’m going through :)
Matthew 17:20 NIV. He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” As a fellow Christian, I relate to the feeling of burnout and tough times. Thank you for always being real Andy!
Hey Andy! Im really like this new format of answering a question and then showing some footage of you and the boys. I think its a nice balance, keep it up!
I’ve been going through a very dark season for a few years now. And you’d think by now, someone would have shared this cliche reminder to me, and maybe they did and I just can’t remember. But your message today encouraged me to continue to trust in the Lord. He’s doing something in me and although my faith is being tried, God will lead me through it! Thank you Andy for the cliche reminder I so needed to hear!
Hey Andy! It's so awesome to hear you open up about your walk with the lord and where you currently are. Thank you for sharing some wisdom as well! Listening you talk about hardship seasons, these verses from Romans 5 comes to mind: "And not only that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope. This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Romans 5:3-5 HCSB I'm currently in a tough season in my life and so these verses are one of the verses I go to often, to lift me up when life can be a bit overwhelming sometimes. A reminder that God is still good even in the tough seasons, and I'm never alone. The one who carries all of my burdens as I lay them down. Praying you will be surrounded by christian community again, I find that in tough seasons it's nice to have my super close sisters in christ to point me back to christ and just support, pray, and love me when it's hard (even if it has to be virtually). Anyways hope to hear more about your walk with the Lord, whether it is mission stories you have done in the past (I have a heart and passion for that 😊) or just whatever He's taught you to be where you are and who you are today! I'm sure as a believer it will be encouraging to many and glorify God even more. ❤ Also love watching your boys, they are so cute! They seem satisfy with no more taekwondo! 😂
Hi Andy. Though I don’t fully understand, I can try and imagine how tough it must be, to be going through personal things so publicly. I really respect your openness and transparency. You touched on how God doesn’t allow things we cannot handle, sometimes though I’ve found he allows things we cannot handle, precisely so we have no one else to go to, but him. I hope your vertical relationship will be made higher and deeper during this season with God. Each day, whatever season you go through, my prayers and well wishes are with you brother.
Andy really seems like a genuine and introspective person ❤️ I always admired him and wish all good things for him. The boys are truly blessed to have a dad like him. Immense love for them!!!
Thanks for sharing, I'd encourage you to maintain attending church services, even if it means you might attend other churches, because God doesn't only be in the church you attended. May you listen to God and follow the path He's leading you 🙏🏼
I’m currently going through a challenging time in my life at the moment, so this video definitely came out at a perfect time. Having and keeping faith has played a factor in staying positive and to keep going, no matter how challenging the things that life may throw at us. Ps. I’ve been really enjoying your videos/vlogs. Keep up the good work!
I love the vertical, horizontal example 👏 how true. We can be so wrapped up in serving and being involved in so many parts of ministry but personally we may not be walking close with God. Focusing on your quiet time with Him first and walking with Him, then all else will follow to glorify Him and love others. I am a first time mum and my hubby and I have taken a step back from all we were involved in as we don't have as much quiet time with God anymore and in this season our ministry in leading our son to know Jesus. It is hard not being so involved now but if we are not walking closely with God then we are not leading our son well either.
All I know is when I struggle it is better with Jesus cuz I know he will see me through. Rather than doing things on my own. I’m trusting him in every season. He is my provider and Heavenly Father after all.
Thank you for sharing your faith Andy! As a Christian as well, it’s encouraging to know that God has sustained you throughout the toughest times and strengthened your faith!
Thank you Andy for sharing and being honest! I love your videos. You are so blessed with your boys, and they are so blessed to have you as their Dad! Praying you find a solid Christ-centred community in good time and the boys grow up knowing and loving the Lord too.
Thank you so much. Im struggling with the Christian life or life in general. I too am taking a break. Its been 5 yrs now since I evaded church all together.
Our fam is having some kind of hardship rn but again Jordan and Levi never fail to bring a smile on my face. Especially Andy talking about horizontal relationship with God is seriously something I needed which I believe not only me but everyone else who was watching this. Thank you Andy u did gave the best advice and your are awesome as always.
When going through hard seasons you also should remember that God doesn't just put you through them to make you stronger and for you to handle it on your own. God really wants us to depend on Him. So sometimes going through a hard season is admitting that we can't do it on our own but that's why we give it all to God knowing He can. I'm very happy Andy has been able to work on his faith throughout all this and I hope everyone is encouraged to continue to work on their own relationship with God and working for His will especially in the final days!
Deuteronomy 8:2-3 Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on ever word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.
Oo i want ice cream too after watching your weekly vlog! haha Your sharing on faith during hardships reminds me of the song Highs & Lows :) When it feels like the dark Lingers longer than the night When the shadows feel like giants Are You chasing me down? Tell me where could I run From Your light Where could I hide? Hemmed within Your precious thoughts There's no hiding from Your love Highs and lows Lord, You're with me either way it goes Should I rise or should I fall Even so Lord, Your mercy is an even flow You're too good to let me go
Hi Andy. Just found out about the news and I wanna say thanks for being so real with us. I actually binged watch all your videos since then. You're a great dad and a great person, and I wish you get all the support and love that you deserve. A verse I hold on to very tightly in times of confusion & heartbreak - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. Rom 8:28 Love from Malaysia & continue running the race!
Glad to see you vlogging again, and great to see you and the boys enjoying such life and GOOD DAYS with Jesus in the midst (: Sending blessings from Singapore!
Here are some songs that you might like to listen based to this topic "Rejoice in the LORD" by Ron Hamilton "Perfect Plan" by Bruce Frye "Sometimes He Calms the Storm" "He's Already in Your Tomorrow" "The Shepherd Knows Your Name"
always a joy to hear you being so open about your life and also your faith! definitely the moments and journeys walked with God for ourselves are probably some of the most precious ones! Are there any faith practices that you are passing on to the boys? :)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience as a Christian through hardships. But tell me what’s that thing the boys attend which needs an awarding ice-cream? 🤭😬
I am of the same age as Andy if I remembered his earlier introduction days ( yes I was one of the followers from the other channels) but I lost touch as my own life was getting busier juggling four children and motherhood etc ,so I did actually found this channel by accident and has been inserting some comments and support for this channel on and off . I have supportive husband to help me maneuver parenthood and married life , I can’t imagine the amount of strength and courage andy has to ever do this tea talk on quite a regular basis . I don’t think I can be so upfront especially on RUclips . On a side note - your faith is bigger than your fear I supposed . I am a catholic , so I strongly resonated to what you just shared Andy . I was wondering , just curious , in terms of co parenting , do you and your children mother celebrate your children birthday together or separately? I know some of my friends whom parents are divorce do come together to celebrate milestones like baptism , confirmation , Birthday ,graduation etc . Some of course doesn’t when the separation was not a peaceful one . Of course if you don’t feel comfortable answering the question it’s ok too . Your two boys are also of similar age to my younger two boys and it’s so endearing to see how much they have grown and thrive through the years . On hard days , we choose simple joy .
the husband didnt do anything wrong yet the woman gets to publicise her sob story and her struggles and turn it into validation to imply that other women who dont really have a good reason to have a child out of wedlock is OKAY and “we feel you”? the result of giving too much empathy/publicity to a certain demographic validates their less than ideal life choices and gives other women a bad influence. yes we are all human but we should not be glorifying these stories to give our future generation an option/privelege to make poor decisions. why even give them a platform? they continue with their life but we should not aspire to live like them.
Well said. I couldn't agree more. I personally thought it was odd for the twins to suddenly start crying and opening up like that. Yes we should not condemned them and make them feel less worthy than they already are but people should stop encouraging them and glorifying them. I think both the husband deserves way better wife's. I hope they find true love.
