I made it to floor 90 in the pit of 100 Trials Saturday and then quit cause I didn't want to lose all the good stuff I had gotten. Today I learned that if you die in the Pit, you can choose to restart that floor in the Switch version. That miffs me a little bit, there goes like 2 hours of my time... Edit: I went back and beat it, and now I just have to get Whacka's tattle.
Hello, dear listener. I am here to remind you, that this song is NOT CHAPTER 1 MUSIC. I'VE HEARD SO MANY TIMES, THAT THEY ARE JUST "randomly" REUSING THIS MUSIC! IT'S LIKE THE EVENT BATTLE FROM ORIGAMI KING, IT'S REALLY NOT THAT COMPLICATED!
I wish this was the default battle music for the Palace of Shadow. It fits perfectly (and I don’t dig the Palace’s music, especially now that it keeps playing even when you get into a battle).
Yeah I think the other modern Paper Marios handled the “final dungeon theme is also the battle theme” idea much better. Trying to implement it retroactively in ttyd just ended up sounding awkward because Palace of Shadow was very clearly not written to be a battle track
@@TheCosmicCloudI think it's less of a "this is the final battle" thing and more of a *"You've made a mistake coming here"* thing since the theme is so unnerving that it playing it even in battles signifies how ominous the Palace of Shadow is meant to be, not even a battle can distract you from where Mario is now and what lies deeper.
This track serves as the main battle theme for Hooktail Castle, Poshley Sanctum, the Palace of Shadow tower/courtyard, and the Pit of 100 Trials.
TTYD's "Unsettling Area battle"
That's the exact vibe I get from this
It definitely feels like that, but still pretty different (and I prefer TTYD24's approach over TOK).

I heard this so much in the pit of 100 trials it haunts my dreams
bro I LOVE the flute @0:27-0:30. so epic

It’s more like the eerie area music from Origami King than event battle.
This plays in Dungeons, like Hooktail's Castle, Pit of 100 trials, Courtyard tower of Shadow Palace etc.
@@venomickySpecifically, it plays on every area that has dragons nearby. And Poshley Sanctum for some reason.
@@Aego384 Yeah. exactly

At least it plays on the tower I think, I’m only at Chapter 6 right now so I can’t tell if that information is correct.
I guess it was meant to copy Color Splash and Origami King, as well as some other JRPGs.

@@wantedbird55srandomchannel28 It's kinda got the same vibe as the battle theme in the final chapter of Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling
