The actresses in Bollywood have a very short shelf life and until the recent past they used to just be a prop dancing in the rain or being a trophy for the Hero to win from the villain. Several actresses from the past have vanished into thin air while their male counterparts continue to romance new actresses who have spawned upon the Bollywood circuit.
1. mamta kulkarni
She did a flurry of movies in the 90s and most famous one being 'Karan Arjun'. She couldn't find any luck in the 2000s.
2. Nagma
She was a bankable star in Tamil and Telugu industry but also performed well in Bollywood. She has been out of Bollywood for more than ten years now. She was also engaged in Politics recently.
3. shilpa shirodkar
She was pretty popular in the early 90s having featured in films like 'Kishen Kanhaiya' (1990) and 'Hum' (1991). But her fame waned when films failed back-to-back at the box office. After marrying and settling down in London in 2000, she made a comeback with the television show 'Ek Mutthi Aasmaan'. In the show, she played a domestic help named Kamlabai

She has been out of limelight for 19 years now in mainstream Bollywood. But has still been active in Marathi cinema.
5.pratibha sinha
Pratibha Sinha is a former actress working in Bollywood movies and the daughter of Mala Sinha, a former Bollywood actress herself. She made her film debut opposite Sujoy Mukherjee in the 1992 film Mehboob Mere Mehboob
6.farheen
She got a chance to exhibit her talent in films like 'Jaan Tere Naam' (1992), 'Sainik' (1993) and 'Nazar Ke Samne' (1995), the last two starring Akshay Kumar. All her films failed, and Farheen soon disappeared from the showbiz. She is now married to former India cricketer Manoj Prabhakar.

Best remembered for her movie 'Hum' (1991) opposite Amitabh Bachchan and the chartbuster song 'Jumma Chumma De De', Kimi's subsequent films failed at the box office. She quit Bollywood after marriage and settled in Australia.

Though she tasted success in the late 80s, Neelam witnessed a downfall in 90s. Her films 'Afsana Pyaar Ka' (1991) and 'Parampara' (1993) affected her career to a substantial level. She is now a renowned jewellery designer, and married actor Samir Soni in 2011.
9.priya gill
he pretty actress featured in hit films like 'Tere Mere Sapne' (1996) and 'Sirf Tum' (1998) early in her career. However, with movies like 'Bade Dilwala' (1999) and 'Josh' (2000) not doing well, her career graph tumbled. She disappeared from the scene altogether in the next couple of years.

Ritu Shivpuri is an Indian film actress and model, notable for her work in Hindi and Kannada cinema. Daughter of actors Om and Sudha Shivpuri, Ritu made her acting debut in a leading role in the 1993 film Aankhen, which was one of the highest grossing films of the year
