Liked before 10 seconds in because I just know it's going to be awesome! Hoping to follow the path of developer to entrepreneur (currently developer). Love the videos Stef, many thanks.
Hey Stef, I have been there when you say delegation is hard. Still learning it. I love how you talk, how you share your experience. Being humble, that's a very good tip. Thanks Stef :)
I don't know if I'm ready but going back to software development (desktop app) and turning to web development is like starting from the basics when creating an app or system. I'm actually new to web dev but one of my creations previously used by our city and improving it. Not yet good but keeping it better and to be used again on the next event would keep this moving forward. So I like this kind of idea of creating apps or systems to be used by the community but I'm not on that entrepreneurial concept yet. My side hustle are just company websites that you can use WordPress. What if those web development that could help me improve in programming?
My first jaunt onto the world of self employedness was making fibreglass body kits, at the beginning of the millennium, still have some moulds, doubt there's much call for a 4th gen honda prelude body kit these days, or a spoiler for a vauxhall viva from the seventies, but ye never know
I think when i will be 50 or even 60 i would write programms ;) i kind of guy who thinks like software architect, i mean clean datastructures, test first , make sure your code doesnt suck.
I thought one goes into business because one has no talent, or at least none that are profitable. Instead, one pursues what the market demands. I know some gifted, award winning poets who want to earn a living without having to teach (i.e. deal with university politics, etc.), and support their writing. To do this, they've taken up coding. They will probably never be genius coders, but the idea is the skills they've acquired will be so valuable, they'll make money from them anyway. Is this reasonable, do you think?
Hello Stefan, can you do a video about mastering conversational French and speaking French for tech business. I am based in Florida and my employer and I deal with many clients based in the Caribbean and Africa who speak French primarily.
Dear Steve, I have been developer since 20 years now. Due to speech anxiety it's hard to climb the ladder. It's even possible my company will ask me to leave because nowadays they all require "soft skills ". Please advise me how to deal with this.
If some person knows html, css,js and php very well and is experienced and all that.. What kind of software business can that person build with these skills?
Mr. Stefan image this. You love the tech sector. You are good at marketing, sales, logistics. But you are bad at programing. Is it enough to know just the fundamentals of computer science. Just enough so that you know what tool does what and what can you expect from the developers. I personally love wearing suits , shaking hands and speaking to people live or phone. Very extroverted, sitting all day(12-16h) would kill me. I hope that you reply, thank you in advance.
“Realize where you suck”. That’s the best advice I’ve heard in a long time. :)

Any developer looking to undertake entrepreneurial ventures should read the book "The E-myth".

'Hire people that can do the job that you cannot do'....firm believer of this point! Great video Stef! Thanks!

Can developer skills help with being entrepreneur in the future?
100%
I just posted something similar on LinkedIn this morning about me having to switch entrepreneur hats from developer to sales and marketing.
Plants move towards source of sunlight may be that's the reason :-P
