The 2021 US Open saw Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Great Britain's Emma Raducanu claim the men's and women's singles titles. Sir Andy, the quintessential warrior in adversity. People talk about the Big 3, but for me the 4th big guy on tour was and always will be Andy, never forgotten to what he did back then more than hanging with the big boys & what he's capable now post his hip surgery. Salute!
true legend
I wholeheartedly agree with above comments. 💙
Sooo true! I agree
gutted he got injured at his peak as world no. 1. how grand slams would he have now if not injured. 6?
@@gazlives yep, 6 - 10 I recon due to the level he raised the game to.
Andy is an amazing player. Beautiful tribute well deserved 😊
The Big 3 are Gods-Andy’s the People’s Champion of this tennis era. Unmatched grit. He fought his way to World #1 in ‘16 through nearly maniacal determination and almost destroyed his body in the process. It’s impossible not to respect what he’s achieved. I will always root for him every time he walks that metal hip onto court until the day he retires.
By no how long ago did andrew murry have his last hip operation
How long ago did andrew murry have his hip operation
@@kevininglis745 he had two hip surgeries between 2017-2021 and was basically out of tennis
I think if it wasn’t for the other three ,Andy would have a few more slams even tho he’s beaten the other three just such tough opponents but he deserves to be In The top Four
As a Nole fan i’ve always appreciated Murray !!!!
Andy Murray a true warrior of the game
he had horrible injuries and still came back to become 2x Wimbledon champion and 2x Olympic gold medallist's and a Davis cup winners , insane
He is for sure.
Andy Murray earned and deserves this tribute.
In a different era he would win 15 Slams.
10+ easily
A beautiful tribute to a legend of the sport.
Loved this. 2012 was a golden year in Tennis.
Yeah, one slam each for all four.
This is legendary work! Thanks to everyone involved to create this masterpiece!
An absolute warrior and will forever be my favourite athlete across all sports. As a Scotsman, it makes me so proud to have Andy represent our country in such a genuine and patriotic manner. He brought me into tennis and is the very reason why I love this sport. I try to emulate his mental mindset on court and push myself 110% to try and win every point. I cannot wait to see how far he goes in 2022. Bring it on!! 💪🏼🏴
My favourite player of the top four
I never speak of the big 3 but big 4. Even though Andy Murray never won many Slams or even comes near to what Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have achieved, he was their greatest opponent, resulting in terrific matches. Semifinal day(s) was always great to watch when you saw those guys got there.
Murray won some grand slams.
@@captaincalcium7909 but he didn't win many of them. That's the point
100% agreed. Guga Kuerten retired due a similar hip problem. Andy had been feeling that problem for years. The Documentary about his surgery and recovery is brutal and emotional. Hope he can keep going a bit more. Great player.
@@vanessacarvalho9076 here here 👏.. Well Said.. 🍻
Brilliant ! He has won it all !! Great person inside and out 👍
He left his heart out there every time he stepped on the court. Much respect! Hope he achieves great things in the new year.
Whoever thought of creating this deserves a raise!
Great to watch what a champion he was,my fav player, in an era with three of the best players ever and he beat them all what he could have won, 3 slams two Olympic golds and various other titles plus a knighthood ffs he achieved so much 😮
Andy Murray should become a seeds wildcard for the grandslams.
Love this guys mentality. He knew how much extra extra work was required to put in to be in the upper echelon league.
Shame not a couple more slams but no shame when facing most times 3 of the greatest ever in the sport in the same era.
Proud of Sir Andy. Superb player and legend in his own right.
He is simply Tennis Olympics GOAT.
And for me he is also the player with the most defensive skills ever in Tennis History and Scottish(British) GOAT.
We love you SIR ANDY.
Djokovic has better defence
Novak has a great defence too but his style of play has more agressivity than Andy and that's why he had so many achievement in his career so far than any other players but for me Andy has the best defensive skills specially his great lobs in many occations and then take a look at his match points against Novak and Goffin at the Davis Cup Finals 2015 I guess.
@@ambikeyamohapatra2482 Novak has top tier defense that’s for sure. But throughout the years his offensive skills has improved so much and that’s why he is now chasing for his 21st gs.
he had horrible injuries and still came back to become 2x Wimbledon champion and 2x Olympic gold medallist's and a Davis cup winners , insane
@@ambikeyamohapatra2482 how many gold medals
Great work and production by US Open Tennis Championships.
I truly believe that with his drive he can truly be number one again. Regardless, he's a true people's champion.
Thank you for sharing this documentary. He deserves his place in the history of tennis as he continues to inspire a young generation of tennis players.
He inspires me so much, learn with our mistakes and always want more
Brasileira?!
@@KolyaDickinson sim!
He is such an inspiration!
Don't forget Murray won gold in the Olympics under Coach Lendl shortly before Finally winning his first major there. Among other things, lost to Fed twice and Nole once in slam finals before USO 2012, Sean Connery iirc was in the crowd in all of his slam finals. Murray was pretty passive/ conter puncher style (except against Nadal- nobody outgrinds Nadal) until Lendl became his coach- definitely made a huge difference in his confidence & average aggression
Thankyou thankyou for putting this together ❤ been an Andy fan forever. What an inspiration he has been and continues to be to the younger generation. Who knows, maybe he could do the Australian Open this time!
Even Nole applauding him! True praise indeed.
thanks to those who have come up with the idea of making a documentary of andys journey and thanks to anyone who have contributed to this video. andy has been a part of my life and an idol who i look up to for inspiration. cant wait to witness his achievements in 2022, aussie open here we come
We all love ANDY! :-) and great to see he is playing great again..
His work ethic is insane. Even without the big3 there is no doubt he would still have the drive to improve himself everyday. He has an insanely high standard for himself.
What a champion!!! What an inspiration! No words to describe the feeling!
Ele foi número 1 do mundo quando os 3 grandes tavam no auge... Isso por si só basta
BIG 4 no doubt
Tremendous Respect for Andy murray for me you are one of the best players on history of the game
true king
goosebumps literally goosebumps
Great documentary. The end bit could have just added that he reached the summit and became world number ONE on 2016...
love his mentality !!
Such a great journey
GOOSEBUMPS
Cannot wait!!
Naaahhhhh I’ll pass 🤮

I‘m really excited about the „never ending wildcards“ episode!
What about federers 1 tournament a year episode for the last 3 years😭. Just retire all ready
his lob is hid signature move
Millie: When 1st seeing him play I use 2 call him Sir Andy b4 he was being knighted by Prince Charles n secondly, he's the spitting image of his MOM u just can't get away from him being a winner much ❤ n God's richest blessings 2 all players whether they win/lose
he had horrible injuries and still came back to become 2x Wimbledon champion and 2x Olympic gold medallist's and a Davis cup winners , insane
Peak murray no one past, present or future apart from Nadal,Novak and Federer would beat him! For me he is the 4th greatest tennis player to ever play the game where ability with the racket is concerned.
Just as you do not detract from Murray's work, do not think that everything revolves around them, in the middle were wawrinka, del potro, monfils ...... etc
@@brunocardenaschoque6595 I'm talking murray at his very very best his defensive ability made it nigh impossible for anyone not those 3 to get a sniff.
maybe not as great as the big3 but there is definately a reason why he was called the big 4
There definitely is a big 4 imo for years it was a complete shut out in GS where it was always Federer,Nadal,Novak or murray all in the final playing one another.
Roger was right we did see him in the future
I wish nalbandian had won some slams too he was just as deserving
And he beat prime Djokovic to win his slams as well! Competition is weak right now.
If he didn't get injured players like thiem and such wouldn't of gotten a sniff at winning a GS.
When I saw him I knew I found my target At last
After 5 consecutive us open titles , who would've thought Federer will not win another us open !
Gets a bit cold in Winter perhaps....
👀👀👀👀
Andy got to the final so many times as a runner up he could have a lot more grand slams hes came 2nd 5 or more times
Big gripe here - you gloss over how he lost early in 2009 and 2010 - he lost to two players who would eventually win the US Open (Cilic, Wawrinka). Yeah, they were upsets at the time but definitely nothing to sniff at when looking back.
3 Grand Slams and 2 Olympic Gold 🥇 medals. A successful tennis player
Still no.4 to Roger Novak and Rafa

Boring guy overall, but his comeback with a metal hip is truly impressive.
yawn!
No thanks I’ll pass 🤮
