Advice for stone fruit: To get more flowers and fruiting wood, you want to promote new growth in summer and Fall. To do this, tip all the aggressive growth from the current year 15-40%. This will push out another set of new branches that will flower and bud next year. Been most of my pruning now in the growing season but tip pruning monthly. Now my winter pruning takes no time at all and I have tons more fruiting wood. Thanks for the vid! Always fun to see and hear new perspectives :)
What beauty of place my dear friend always aware of your videos is appreciated for teaching how beautiful you have in your house I love a big hug in the distance Greetings take care of blessings always
Wow! You have so much now! I’ve added a lot too, but I don’t have as much land as you. My avocados are doing so much better now 😃I had to water a lot more, like every day in the summer. My black jack fig tree is coming out of dormancy. The other two kinds are later. I got two tiny papaya trees (Solo and Mexican) last spring at Home Depot and one is HUGE now! But they are pretty pale green/yellow. I’m thinking it’s all the rain so I’ve been giving lots of nitrogen. Cheers fellow San Diegan! 😀
I have the red Malaysian guayaba your talking about! They look like the ones you have but get soft when they are ripe and fall off the tree! I have a collection of guayabas including this pink Variety that holds guavas all year long! The size of softball!
I planted a dwarf Cavendish banana tree last fall should I be cutting off the old leaves? From your experience, when do they flower to start producing their banana bunches? What do you feed them? We have sang loam here, so the water doesn’t sit.
Can i buy two of your banana pups. I can pick up when available. I have vanilla banana tree but will give only 6pcs of fruits. I want to be able to share with neighbor when i harvest. Thank you in advance.
