I like how many of the 2021 records were achieved by glitching. I especially like how in Coconut Mall, the 2021 Daisy player finished the whole race in the time it took the 2011 Funky Kong player just to finish one lap. ¯_¯; And then, on the other hand, you have 2021 runs that are only a second different from their 2011 runs! And now Koopa Cape has a broken WR too... RIP Btw, in Moonview Highway it is seen that the first lap is better with automatic Spear, why did not people continue using it?
i believe because on lap 2 and 3 you can do a double trick on the curb shortly after the finish line and that saves a bit of time over using the spear throughout
In 5th grade I beat the wr on dk summit I beat a funky ghost with daisy with dolphin bike lol I thought I was cool for just playing my favorite character/bike and not using the meta but now i see daisy is pretty good for other maps lol
I genuinely had 1 : 19 on shy guy beach but I didn't know what the wr was at the time so I went and erased the license. As soon as I reunlock magikruiser I'm trying again

@@derpdee63 Niyake's first record was 17th Jan 2009. Him and KingAlex exchanged blows from 2009 to 2018, swapping ownership of the record (Niyake's 2012 record of 19.3 stood for just shy of 5 years). He didn't take his record back from 2017 to late 2019, but after that he has been consistently beating his own record until the current 16.133 you see in the video. Hope this answers your question.
@@notszander Well, I was more talking in reference to what you said near the beginning of the video - that Cole was the only one to have a world record in both Jan 2011 and Jan 2021. Niyake did have the Grumble Volcano glitch WR for a span from Jun 2010 to Oct 2011, so he had it during Jan 2011; and he's also had it since October last year. So would he also count?
