My 124 Abarth is, hands down, the most fun car I've ever owned. Driving from Miami to Key West has become a regular day trip. Flying over the seven mile bridge with the top down is addictive:-)
Very good video editing, like a pro, ill give you a 👍🏼 for that and the same goes for the way you present the car. Keep it up mate youll be in the big league soon
I recently bought a GT version with the carbon fibre roof - and I bought it for the exact reason you mention - I wanted it while I still can. I have to say, it is a fantastic car - a lot of reviewers do mention lack of real power but when you're driving it it definitely is not slow.
The potential for classic is really quite high. The Abarth GT (removable hard top) is twice as rare as a Lamborghini aventador! Only 46 on UK roads in 2018!! Even the standard one sold less units than sports cars like i8, v8 vantages let alone Porsche’s. Seeing this road trip has made me so envious and can’t think of a better car to tour down to Italy and do those roads in.
The Mazda badges are not just on the bonnet. Open the doors or the boot lid and the Mazda parts stickers are on the panels. I own a Fiat 124 Spider in Lusso Plus trim (its the best spec'd car I've ever owned) and I absolutely love this car. I like how unique and rare these 124 Spiders are, I never see another, which gives me the incentive to keep it for good. My only criticism is the 124 Spider feels slightly under powered and that the great handling chassis could cope with more power and acceleration. Its kind of embarrassing when there's many hot hatches that could out accelerate this car. From what Ive seen the only difference between the Fiat 124 and the Abarth 124 is a few cosmetics (in fact I prefer the Fiats 124's more subtle looks and more comfortable spec), a different exhaust pipe and the ECU map. You could possibly "chip" a Fiat 124 to have the same bhp as the Abarth version. After all its the same engine.
I've been trying to decide on a daily driver for a couple years now. I keep coming back to the 124, and finally decided on it firmly. The MX5 is great, but the engine sound just isn't very good and the styling is a little sterile. The GT86 is a good car, but in some respects a little juvenile. The new Mustang GTs and used C6 and C7 Corvettes are really great cars, but you need a race track to even drive them at six tenths responsibly, and buying tyres for them is a happy fun time for your wallet. The 124 is a real looker, the 1.4 sounds awesome and is very reliable, it'll have endless aftermarket support, and the price is great if you're looking to buy used here in the US.
I daily drive one and I love it. I have a bad back, and the seats plus the heating makes me very comfortable for longer journeys. It’s efficient and well behaved when you’re not in a hoony type of mood and then when you want to blast down some twisty B roads with the roof down it’s amazing. Handling is so good the soundtrack amazing. You won’t regret :)
Jack Scarlett was your head touching the roof? One thing people don’t think about is being taller in the body than the legs, I’m taller in the body so I might be worse off.
@@josegg3107 surprisingly well! Passengers seat a bit cramped due to protruding glovebox, driver's seat was no problem at all. Except for headroom. Not much of that with the roof up
Looking at the paint job I expect to see some punk kid crawl out of it with gold chains and a track suit on. Owning that would make me want to gouge my eyes out. Mine is meteor grey and I intend to spray the boot and bonnet in flat burgundy.
Owned one, the engine wasn't powerful enough, the seat quality was horrendous with a known seat sagging fault, the finish in the cabin was cheap and the only redeeming feature was the exhaust... Oh and the lack of android auto / apple car play is dreadful especially with the price of it.

I second that it’s the most fun thing with 4 wheels ever made

My friend Ed loved his Abarth! He past away a couple of years ago...I think about him often 😔

That Livery is sick! It's a shame they didn't make it an optional extra. 😉
@Yen Tao OK then

It's nice that the rally color of this car is a little dirty.
Is your head touching the roof? 😂 I’m 6ft 1 and worried about head room
I'm 6'5 and it was a little snug in there. Think you'd JUST about be ok
