    I carry a 16” Almike hatchet so Brakimo it is. Good vid and thanks for comparing these 2.

    Good review and comparison. Personally,
    for outdoor heavy duty use, i like my Ka Bar BK2 with 1095 steel.

      Thanks. Yes, similar style knives. I just find the Becker handles a bit too thick for me.

      @@urbanknifeguy Try the Becker BK16 - much smaller than the big ones. I don't care for the stock plastic scales, but the upgrade G10 scales fit my hand like no other factory knife in this class of blade. I don't care for the sheath, either, at least for belt carry. Otherwise, it's an ideal medium sized drop point, field style knife that works great for bushcraft, hunting, and general use. Probably Ethan Becker's masterpiece, IMO.

      @GiantPinhead thanks! Yes, I am familiar with it and with the upgrades too. But after everything adds up with shipping to this part of the world, it does not makes sense for me from a cost or value perspective.

    I believe that the screws look like they are Allen keys, but they are T-10 Torx heads.

    I'm surprised you've featured Tops knives considering the whole tracker thing.
    I think they make good knives but they are on the pricey side.
    I'm going to try and send you an email on a coupe to try and keep. Right now I have to find where they are as I moved and have a room full of boxes.
    Unfortunately you don't give an about page so I can't email you

      Thanks for the comment. It is a source of minor conflict however in this case Tops was also not aware of the origins of the tracker design and believed it came from TB. They did do changes for their manufacturing needs and I would think from their point of view, it is their version. But I won't buy that version as I don't want TB to benefit.

    Is the sheath clip stainless steel?

      I don't think it is stainless. I believe it is coated spring steel.

    The 154cm model is made of stainless steel, but I've heard that it rusts easily. Is any care required?

    • @urbanknifeguy
      @urbanknifeguy  Месяц назад +1

      Technically it should not rust easily. I have no problem with it but I do not have problem with any of my Knives, even carbon steel. As each time I come back from the field, I clean, scrub, dry, oil and strop my knives. In the field, just wipe it dry if it gets wet. If you are outfield for extended periods like weeks, then bring a small bottle of oil.
