I have watched all of the James Bond films made and have watched many of them over and over again. To me Sean Connery is by far the best James Bond of all. Sean Connery IS James Bond. If it wasn't for Sean Connery's portrayal, James Bond would NOT be the household name it is today. Thankyou Sean Connery

Sean Connery is the best Bond, but I am sure he would be regretting turning down the Gandalf role just to see how the Lord of the rings trilogy were all box office smashes. Lets also take it to The Hobbitt Trilogy which were huge successes as well. The pay day for him would have been phenomenal.
Also he has monopolized 007 James Bond that is why it is very hard for another actor to portray James Bond to perfection the closest that came so far are Roger Moore!! and Pierce Brosnan!! Everyone else came 5% closer. Sorry but no cigar!!!!

Sean was an original hard to follow. BTW 2 early British Connery films that most people don’t know of are : Hell Drivers also including Stanley Baker and Time lock where he was an oxy acetylene cutter welder interesting . Also in hell drivers was Patrick McGoohan Herbert Lom ,David McCallum . Both films were released in 1957.
Pierce Brosnan is my FAVORITE BOND!! He had a lot of SWAG playing Bond!! But yes, Sean Connery is the BEST Bond IMO!! He was very tough, physical, and put lots of humor into Bond!!!

He will always be “James Bond” to me. I think he played the part more naturally than any of the other actors who played the role. My second choice would be Pierce Brosnan, who I think played the part much like Sean did. Very smooth and casual. Both GREAT actors!
As an American, I try to correct people when they mispronounce places like Edinburgh, or even the gross mispronunciation of the English county of Worcestershire. Can't win em all, though.

Connery's confident manner didn't jibe. I think that Timothy Dalton played him closer to the "Royale" Bond: just a bit unsure.
Timothy Dalton is the closest actor to potray Bond from novel. Daniel Craig is the best bond for me, but Sean Connery has its special part of James Bond world.

Totally agree. Lazenby got a bad rap because he did only one Bond film. But after Sean Connery , Lazenby's film was the next best of the franchise.
