I have been doing this for the vast majority of my life. Instant ramen is one of the things that helped me learn to cook as the basic aspect of packet ramen is absurdly easy to make and then you can add whatever you want, experimenting with ingredients and cooking techniques. I now make my own broth use fresh herbs and spices while using fresh noodles and all sorts of topping. One of my more popular toppings is roasted brussel sprouts.

seriously though. I hate when recipes say that prep time only takes 3 minutes but that's /after/ you have all of the ingredients measured out and all they mean is throwing it in a bowl to mix it. (the type that say "mix these things first and these things separate and then mix them together slowly)

Dude I had to do this almost everyday though my senior year. My friends used to come over to have me feed them my special ramen and this is how I helped my little sister learn how to cook. I used Instant Ramen as a soup basis and sometimes I used it to make noodle stirfry.
