I like Morrissey’s interviews because he doesn’t do soundbites, cliches and BS, & doesn’t just tell you what you want to hear, like many more commercial artists trying to please everyone because they’re hungry for success. He doesn’t care how it’s received, he just says what he means & means what he says.

I think Morrissey is the kind of person who knew a lot about bands in the old days so he judges anything new badly, instead of experiencing them for what they are. Especially considering the fact that he doesn't look for bands on the internet, his views are limited. Like yes, he'd go out to shows and see new bands but seriously, how often does he do that? With the time it takes to see bands live in gigs, it could take a very long time to find a band that you like, where as online you can search for a genre and find bands and their songs quicker. Myspace was a great place to find new bands at the time.
