And now Taylor got the football player in real life. :) Makes me smile to see now with the benefit of hindsight! I really liked her song "Teardrops on My Guitar" which was one of her first big singles when it came out. I dropped off and didn't pay a lot of attention to her for a while after that but she was a literal child at that time and you could already see how talented she was even way back then. You should check that one out!
She met Lucas Till on the Hannah Montana set; Taylor wrote a couple songs for the movie and did a cameo performance.
Good country songs by Taylor from the first era... Teardrops On My Guitar, Tim McGraw. But I think my favorite country song by her is Mean on Speak Now.

How can we not smile at Baby Taylor and dancing on her bed in her pajamas? Ear to ear grin. Can you imagine how her old crushes that never gave her any hope and how they feel now? LOL. That thought brings me so much joy because she was severely bullied in school.
I'm 44 years old and a fairly new swiftie (after seeing her concert movie). So I have no history with this song other that I might have heard it at the radio back then. But still, the video depicts like EVERY teenage movie from the 90ies - i.e. my teenage years, so I kind of have a connection there after all. 😀

No, she doesn't do backflips -- she said in a 73 questions thing for Vogue (in 2014?) that she cannot do handstands or cartwheels. She was never all that athletic, just very tall. I didn't realize she wore her red lipstick for the cheerleader---- it became something of a signature for her later. She used to do a lot of teen fashion magazine cover shoots when she was starting out.

Lucas Till is the actor. He's been in a few things but my guess is you may know him as MacGyver from the reboot and/or from the X-Men prequels
