In 1975 i caught a 3 1/2 " brook trout on a full sized fly and i took him home in a jar. He lived 4 years in the dining room. When i moved him to a larger tank i added a tiny brown trout, a quarter of the mass of the brook trout,to the tank. Two days later, my Brookie was dead, chewed up. A real eye opener.

smaller the fish, the smaller the mouth therefore harder to catch, therefore small is the real trophy!
