Hey Anton, I'd love a vid that gives a tutorial on how to process the data to create images like Judy. I agree it might not be for everyone but you're so good at explaining things, it would be a shame not to!
oh yeah luv to discover some objects and present images, and just let the scientists try to understand what it is haha and move on to another one. billions of objects need imaged from the data
A tutorial video on the image processing would be beyond my capabilities, but would be wonderful for those who can process the process. And when they learn the process they will produce more great photos which will advance the science. Win-win for me, even if Anton makes a program I cannot follow! Thank you, Anton!
Yes! Photo bombing galaxies! That has been my most favorite part of all the images we've seen so far. I love zooming in on the hi res images to search for all the far away galaxies, even through the gases where they were hidden by Hubble's visible light photos.
Isn't it crazy how fresh this information is? When you zoomed into those photos to look at all of those distant galaxies, you were likely among the first 100 people in all of our history to have ever seen them. Ever.
I am so happy with the James Webb, all the science being done, and all of the images coming from it! Thanks, for all you do, Anton. You stay wonderful, Teach!
As a beginner and a fan of Anton, I had a good start last night by looking and confirming for the first time our Milky Way by my naked eye, here in South Philippines. It is humbling. Keep it up Anton.
I was in a telescope family business. I lost interest in astronomy when it was sold. But, since I found your page on RUclips, i’m back on track and very enthusiastic with astronomy. The Webb Telescope will probably prove to be more of a milestone then landing on the moon.
That’s an interesting point - does anyone track what incidental discoveries Project X gave us vs Project Y? By ‘incidental’ I mean things needed to achieve the objective better, but which weren’t themselves the objective.
