Wow they did a fabulous job. I’m so glad that you got this resolved! It was expensive but worth it and I’m glad LV did what was right. Always respected LV for standing behind their products.

LV always stand by their products, thats one thing I can count on. Never bought anything preloved but all I bought from directly, they have been amazing even after 20 years. Glad you got the resut you wanted. You deserved it as how gracious you were regarding this whole ordeal. Wear it in good health.

Jennifer your bag looks brand new but even better because you have the pull tab! I love my monogram PM but it is new with no tab on the zipper. Enjoying your videos!
I am very happy you went ahead and did the repair, it is a shame that LV didn't do it for free since the glazing is a known issue and all the trades they did for people in 2019/2020. The reason I didn't take the deal from them in 2019 was because I didn't want to lose my original pull tab, I too love that feature and it makes that era of the PM very special IMO. I went ahead an d just kept my bag even though it has the flap cracking in the corner issue, the hard ridged strap (was a huge issue with the 1st gen of the PM), I have the mushy glazing when its hot out. All in all, I have every issue that bag is known for, and I didn't want to trade it out because of the pull tab so I am SOOOOO HAPPY you got a repair, and the pull tab is there on your new bag! The PM is a classic and I truly believe it will always be a staple in the LV line up. Congratulations on the fine repair and I hope you get to have many more years of wear! Thank you for doing this whole series and sharing all the saga with the shops and the customer service calls and the repair process and the final outcome. Be well and have a lovely weekend : )
It sounds like we have had the same experience! I didn't want to trade mine because of that tab, as well! I am so happy with the results and love my bag more than ever now.

Wow, the bag looks great. I loved that bag so much, I wish a repair was offered when mine was falling apart. They just told me it couldn’t be repaired and gave me a refund. Enjoy your all new bag😊

Happy LV came through. I still buy from LV new whereas I've stopped with other brands because for the most part, they stand behind their products.
Wow that took them a hot minute. I think that went on for a while. Or was it just me? I am with you on the pull tab. My black leather has the long tab on the back. Love it. So glad you are happy with it now. It is a gorgeous bag!

I’m so glad the bag came out the way you wanted it with the pull zipper. That is quite a price to pay 💰 for what they did, but I get that it made sense considering the options.

Does LV repair if you buy it pre-owned?
Maybe their default position is negative where repairs are concerned, because so much work goes into it? It looks like so much work has gone into that repair. Thank goodness!
I am just so thrilled with how great it looks. I was so concerned it would look like a mash of old and new. They did an amazing job, and including the new strap, it's about 3/4 brand new. I'm very happy and have fallen in love with it all over again.

Hi! Welcome to the Just Jennifer family. If you are ordering it, I would suggest you call and ask to speak to a customer care representative and ask if they can attach the leather pull to your new bag (for a cost) before they send it to you. It would probably need to go to the "repair" area, I'm not sure, but perhaps you can request it from the start so that it all comes exactly how you want it and you won't have to send it in to get the pull tab after receiving the bag. I'm very interested in knowing how this goes for you, so please keep me posted! Best of luck!

I’m so glad you’re happy with your repair. It’s nice to have that behind you now. I’m curious what your thoughts are on the monogram canvas as things are going more less logo and minimalistic in design. Are you changing with that quiet luxury trend or do you see LV canvas as classic? I have quite a few monogram and damier ebene bags that I will continue to still use. I also have Hermes belts and designer items that have the logo…like Loewe, YSL, Hermes H Constance belt. I did have Gucci belts but sold those years ago. Anyway, just wondering your stance on all of that. I was told my Hermes H belts are dated and it looks better to not have logos, etc. I consider them classic pieces, but maybe I’m wrong. I like to hear other people’s thoughts. Is the monogram speedy outdated?
Thank you! Funny you should ask about "quiet luxury" because I have a video about that topic in the works. But in a small answer to your question, I consider LV monogram to be classic. It has been in constant fashion since 1896. More about all that to come in the video!

Did LV not do it for free because you purchased pre-loved? I was thinking that LV would replace or repair due to the glazing issues. I understand paying if is older or your wear & tear. However, I would have paid to have it back also! 😊 Love your videos!!
Yes. They would have replaced it years ago when the glazing problem first occurred, but now it is considered a repair. I'm very happy with the results! Thank you!

Wow, they charged nearly 1/2 price brand new.
They replaced more than half of the bag and a new strap. It's basically 3/4 brand new, if not more.
Wow they did a nice job so worth the money. Enjoy bet your using that bag now.

How financially do they justify taking an old bag apart and redoing it? It should be easier and cheaper to give you a new one.🙄 These companies are so snobby. Ridiculous
