I was singing all the way except lost a line or two in the pre-chorus, every time, dammit. But, I nailed the rest. I used to play this whole album endlessly while on my guitar. So, I could tell he nailed every note and ghost note. He played Marty's solos very well and demolished Dave's, as well. Expert player and teacher.
If you really listen to Dave's guitar part isolated you can hear he uses his voice to fill in a lot of the notes you'd otherwise think are on guitar. The man is a genius in all honesty, he's the instrument, he just combines whatever tools he has into a single unified composition. I think its one of the reasons Dave is one of the greatest song writers of our generation easily.

Hey, sorry for late replying I’m not sure how this comment slipped through the cracks lol. But my suggestion would be to continue at it with a metronome, practice at a speed that you can comfortably play the lick, then bump it up on the metronome to where you struggle to play the lick, and then bring it back down. That’s called pushing the envelope. And if you do that every day and keep pushing yourself in that manner, eventually you’ll get it up to the right speed.
I used to play this song in bands when I was younger, I never had Marty's right hand, but he does arpeggio/blues combo's, so you can do some bluesy improv whenever you get lost, only your guitar teach will no the difference !

Do you know what is "tasty" riff? It's a strange feeling when you hear the riff that do something with you brain. And in addition to listening pleasure you're getting excessive salivation as though when you hungry and see delicious, good-smelling food. For me, "Symphony of destruction" has this kind of riffs. An incredible tutorial, very few people can do something like that. The only drawback I can say is that in the solo the guitar is a little low in volume and is difficult to learn, also because of the difficulty of the solo. If the guitar had a little more volume in that part it would be perfection.
