Look forward to the newer releases. Is there a shortcut getting started guide to remixing video game music for someone with no musical experience whatsoever?
I wouldn't say that there is a shortcut as you need to go through the stepping stones first. For starters, you can try doing NES 8-bit arrangement via FamiTracker. There are dozens of tutorial available in youtube. For your first few goals, maybe you can try covering some smaller scale songs. After months or years of practice, you can proceed to remix tougher songs or even try other music styles like SNES, Sega Genesis, etc. This is all depending on your patience and dedication to remixing music, so I wish you all the best!
Very nice cover. I've been making songs with Famitracker for awhile now and can't seem to get good Mega Man sounding instruments, any tips you can give? (:
Based on my experience messing with MM1-6 sound engine, pick a random song that you like. Use that song and mute all sound channels but one. Keep listening to that unmuted channel and try to duplicate the instrument by ear accordingly. It will take some time to get the instrument you like but basically, experimentation and patience are the keys.
Love the fact despite the limitations, they kept the guitar riff from the international version
That's the most perfect X6 theme in a 8 bit style, I love this so much!!
Yess you left the guitar riff in the track. Good one!
Incredible
Sounds good!
Great arrangement! I see it's based on the US ver, which is nice.
Just like the original.
Interesting
What a pro
No Mega Man X 8-Bit Colored Picture?
Nice cover. Can you make a D-1000/Nightmare mother theme cover?
It feels slower, somehow
I did a tempo check beforehand, there is no problem.
Look forward to the newer releases.
