Its videos like this that show that the regular people of countries have more in common. I an american is motivated to keep going by my wife and child, which is what kept this man from another country in a different time motivated also. I hold no grudges to any citizens of a different country.

eh not really "any war" but wars where it is uncertain if the defending country and defending soldiers will survive, hope in the face of total fear and death - you wouldn't play this for an invading force, for example; the US in Iraq or Afghanistan, but reversed as the Iraqi or Afghani would play it as they would be the defenders of their homeland from an invading force

This is a song that has always hit me right in the heart and brought a tear to my eye, regardless of the language barrier.
This recommendation arrived at the perfect time. I was on this language learning app and this guy asked to exchange languages with me. So we started chatting and we kinda became online friends. Apparently he is fighting in Ukraine and he will send me pictures of himself everyday and I will do so too. We will talk about alot of things and had a lot in common. But lately he started becoming more offline and I will talk to him after a day sometimes more. I will ask him if everything is ok and he will say that everything is fine. But I'm not naive, I know things are hard for him at the battlefield. He said that if the war ends he would like us to meet. I hope that he comes back alive because he has grown to be my favourite person.

My father always told me, that politicians are to blame, not civilians, ordinary soldiers and even, sometimes, officers.
And yeah, thank you for writing this in such a way that it barely touches on contemporary politics and doesn't offend anyone's feelings or opinions. It's really means much to me, i don't want to see another group of peolpe in internet, that swears at each other just because difference of their opinions.
