His English accent is very good for an American, I didn't realise he wasn't British to start with.
Right? On a random whim, I recently decided to check out Penny Dreadful. I intensely binged all 27 episodes in 16 days. I regret nothing. His posh British accent is so convincing...that I didn't realize he didn't naturally speak in a British accent. That is mad props.
I think it adds to the timelessness of the character that he doesn't have a strong regional accent.
Top marks for his English accent in the show. I'm from the UK and I didn't pick up on the fact he was an American.
The thing that I love the most about Reeve is his voice' tone. His voice with that little rasp is just so attractive, perfect for Dorian in my opinion.
Shame that he isn't blonde but best Dorian so far

There has never been a better actor to play Dorian Gray than Reeve Carney. Absolutely amazing. I hope to see him in many more shows. Love his music too.
Reeve is perfect in this role. I am a fan already and will be watching next season.

First time I saw this guy was in Taylor Swift's video clip "I knew you were trouble" and I thought he's REALLY charming,even though he's tottally not my type. Then I started watching Penny Dreadful and suddenly he pops up!I thought he's great in Dorian Grey's role and he's also a great musician too! I definitely have my eyes on him,he's an amazing guy

dorian gray has quickly become my favorite character in this show, as I knew he would. I love the story he comes from.
I love that they put the original Dorian in the show , with blond hair instead of brown like in the movie.

Dorian is my favorite character as well! I think he is absolutely stunning! He's young, talented, and I watch, "Penny Dreadful", mainly to watch him. It is a very good show, though, to be sure.
He's breathtakingly good looking and last week's man on man sex scene with Reeve's Dorian Gray character and Josh Hartnett was a television landmark it was so hot.
with the exception of reeve not being a blonde, his dorian looks nearly exactly as I imagined he did in the story. I didn't see the kiss coming and certainly didn't know they would undress each other. I cant wait to see where it goes. no one can resist dorian. he even intoxicates Vanessa.
wheels216 im mainly in it for dorian as well, but I also love josh Hartnett. I truly missed him during his acting hiatus. I think the show is alluding to him being a werewolf and if that's the case, that is just going to be awesome.
