    By the way, what was the tense in the sentence you used 'if they would have won, you would have heard...'? Is it mixed conditional or something else?
    Could I say instead 'if they had won, you would hear...' and get the same meaning?

      I think you need to have that second "have" in that sentence. It doesn't quite sound right without it.

      @@AmericanEnglishBrent Thanks for your response, but in this case it will be a sentence in a third conditional tense which is for situations in the past only.
