Mine looses on its own. Can I just simply insert new volume button without taking off the back cover? Just like what you did in a video.

Yes Brother, if there is no debris of plastic inside, you can simply take it out damaged plastic button. Simply insert new one and push it gently to fit perfectly.

Can it just be pulled out without taking off back plate/cover? like when you install the new one you just push it , is it possible to do that?

Hello Brother,
The back panel is sticked with super glue which can also be removed easily using Hot Air Gun, also alternatively use Plastic film or any thin plastic sheet. I used the same Plastic film to remove the back panel.
Also use your finger to push fingerprint sensor to remove back panel perfectly as shown in the video, because it's too attached to back glass panel.
